according to the daily mail, Shaw, Schneiderlin and lallana all all for Old trafford this summer if Moyes has his way.
That's a cute little story. But why would they make a sideways step to a club without Champions League football or a squad full of elite, top-class players or an elite manager?
The problem with that story is: "According to the Daily Mail". They love to spout bullshit. Lallana isn't going anywhere - FACT. If you want Shaw and Schneiderlin you will have to spend at least £50million to make Saints even tempted to sell.
would hardly call it a sideways step. to say southampton (no disrespect, i have a fondness for them) are on par with man utd is nonsense
No we're not on par with Man United, but Lallana will see it as a sideways move because he's the captain and star player of the club he has been with since the age of 12. Why would he move from a club which he loves to a club where he wouldn't be guaranteed a starting place and would be overshadowed in the eyes of the fans in favour of the star names?
Really? Is Moyes much better than Pochettino? Do you have Champions League football? Lets consider your wage bill and income in comparison to ours and then consider that you have just 9 points more than us. Historically, there is no comparison between United and Saints. But you're hardly a raging success at current. On this season in isolation, you're just another middling club who aren't competing for the UCL spots but aren't in any danger of going down.
If Shaw goes anywhere it'll be Chelsea. Cole's days are all but over and Shaw is a Chelsea fan and would actually be moving home by signing for them. He also said one of his biggest idols is José Mourinho, so you know, if Chelsea make a good offer - he's theirs.
id rather have ponchettino than moyes hands down. and we could still be in the champions league next year. and ur right we are hardly a raging success at current, at current being the main thing to focus on. do u think those players will be deciding whether to move to united based "on this season in isolation"
I genuinely don't think any of the above mentioned players will be playing for Man United next season. I'm doubting not that United could afford them and I'm not denying that some would see it as an attractive offer but would the players really want to leave Southampton, a young and progressive club steeped in praise this season to go to a below par United set-up who won't even be in the Champion's League next season, with a manager who has become a hilarity?
Haha Tom and DTLW are being polite, I can assure you if this thread stays open for the rest of the evening you will be seeing much, much worse.
