Don't get me wrong I don't believe the change will make hardly any difference as it has come way too late. We're still going to get relegated

We were £23000,ooo in debt with Glenn Roeder in charge a few years back, even if we go down we are a very healthy football club, the master plan at Portman road is so more depressing than we can ever imagine .
We are in good hands mate don`t worry about us..

I don't check all day and the biggest thing happens! Just like me.

A little surprised the board has decided to act but it had been coming and as Hughton didn't manage to pull off the must win like he usually does then MCnally had to do something.

Adam is in a no lose situation. Hopefully he gets the players geed up and has them looking to go for it against Fulham. If we get a win there it might carry some momentum into the other games. Teams around us have shown that you can get at Liverpool if you press them hard and don't let them get any easy passes.

I really hoped Hughton would turn it round but yesterday was the tipping point for most fans. There was so little ideas, passion, commitment and fight that it was laughable. I barely moved from my seat in the second half. Th players might as well have sat down for all the difference it would have made.

Hopefully now we'll get a bit of confidence to push our players over that line. But I still can't see us scrapping out way out of this mess.

I'd be very fearful of the drop now, a late sacking like this is usually to the detriment of the team and I think the player's liked Hughton and they will find it hard to pick themselves up. I'd be looking to your big men up front who have been nothing but an utter disappointment this season but I wish ya's the best all the same.

We are absolute dog crap away from home & Hughton made us submissively turn up to watch game after game of endless dross, we don`t score and we don`t try to win.
Now we have a brand new approach and style to try against a woeful Fulham, the other games we were never meant to win anyway.
I am excited for the first time this season , if that excitement is felt by our confidence sapped players too then we have a better chance than with Hughton.

Got to agree, whether the players were with Hughton or not he was as good as gone. We know these players can perform so what is the problem?

    Tactics? Hughton fault
    Training? His backroom staff

Ok the players also have to shoulder some of the blame too but something stank at carrow Road let's hope we can get a rare win OTBC!!

Can I suggest the club now lays on free coaches next week and get our fans rocking

This morning, I said on another post that I would be happy to see CH go today - I go out for the evening and what happens?????
Well, I wish Neeyull well, but IMO it's going to take a miracle to keep us up. Still, as others have said, we may well see some of our 'forgotten players' being given a chance to show what they can do.
I couldn't believe CH playing Howson so deep, as that is NOT his natural position!!!! <ok>

Superhooper - be under no illusion, your club is very fair from "in safe hands".

You may be able to balance the books, but safe hands would have brought in Felix McPenfoldFromDangermouse 3 months ago and prevented your now inevitable relegation.

    Just saying...

Has he been sacked based on the 33 games you have played this season or the last 4 games you have left to play.

If you still had say Cardiff, palace, stoke and hull would you have changed manager.

It's an exercise in face-saving and currying favour with the fans, regardless of whether or not they're right.

I think it's the result of the way the fans turned on him. At Carrow Road recently we've had fans having a go at the manager, and players having a go at the fans, and that's not a healthy atmosphere for the team to try and score points in. I think Hughton would have left at the end of the season anyway, but when the atmosphere has become downright poisonous then just by being in charge he's damaging the atmosphere, and the chance of getting points.

Neil Adams is unlikely to get the job long-term, but what he will do at the very least is reunite everyone behind the team. If that can result in just one win from the next 5 games we may well survive, making it a risk worth taking. Tim Sherwood had an instant impact at Spurs when he came in, before his tactical naivety was exposed. If Adams can have the same effect, then it doesn't matter if he gets found out in later games as we'll have the points to survive.

My guess is he wouldn't of been sacked had this been the case. There has been a lot of panic amongst the fans about how hard the last games are, pretty much writing them off. If they had more winnable games (on paper) coming up fans would believe they would stay up, therefore the board would of stuck with him. The fans have played a big role in this decision.
