With Everton winning 2-0, am I mad to think that we still have an outside shot of nicking 4th? There are 18 points to play for, and we are 7 behind Arsenal who are in free fall at the moment. We also play Everton who will be 8 points ahead of us and so do City who should take some points off them. So if we could win all our remaining games, then I think we do have an outside chance of pulling it off
Wouldn't even give us an outside chance tbh. After Everton, Arsenal have such an easy run in that even they could hardly fail to get the 9 points they need to stay ahead of us. Everton have a harder run in, and could well drop points against us, City and Southampton, but even if they lose all those games they only need to beat Sunderland, Palace and Hull to be out of our reach. Whilst one of those scenarios is possible, most likely Arsenal failing to get the three wins they need, I can't see both of them happening at once, and at the same time us having the perfect run in we'd need to finish on 72 points. It's like having an accumulator bet on three long shots - maybe a couple of them will come off, but there will always be something that scuppers the overall bet.
Nice to dream though. Arsenal are firmly in bottle season, so you never know with them. I struggle to see us beating Everton though and that will end the chance.
Think of the defeats this season that weve not had for 3, 4 or even 5 decades. Gutting that arsenal are doing everything they can to give 4th away. Watch us go beat everton as well to piss us all off even further. I wont be happy if we fall short by a few points. Well I will because its improvement but it will be so arghhhhhhhh
It's just ashame we weren't a few points better off to really take advantage. We seem to be finding abit of form now, but it's likely to be too late
The racist engineers a penalty again. Well done west ham to at least equalise before half time. Meltdown amongst the ******ed scousers on their board.
The ******ed scousers are playing **** so well deserved west ham. Well played the ref. the linesman must have had some brown packet from the bin dippers...
It was a blatant foul. You have to have some serious Liverpool hatred to genuinely think that goal should have stood. Matth would have put his head through the laptop screen by now if that was De Gea.
