    Your chairman is worth £400M.

    SO!

That doesn't mean he's going to spend £400M on you. Where is the money he has spent? You're season was pathetic for the squad you had last year!

We was bottom and fell just short of playoffs. Yes we failed but we know why that was, explain your dogshit season? One player injured doesn't make a good team bad!!

If we are serious about him, HE WILL COME!
If we are average on him it will be 50-50!

He has no great loyalty to you, he didn't come through your ranks. he's a money grabbing bastard like the rest of them.

And we're arrogant becuase we're ****ing amazing!

Bristol fans need to realise he has 1 year left on his contract. In 12 months he is worth nothing to them

He also has a bad injury past which lowers his value and i wouldnt blame him if he joined us for a high wage because 1 more bad injury and he may have to retire so he needs to make as much money as possable

Agreed our season was dreadful, we massively underperformed. You just answered your own question there... His money assembled the very good squad we had... <doh> If we play to our ability we'll finish top ten, possibly pushing for play offs. Exactly the same ambition as you, unless you have some god-given right to be promoted due to having Sven as manager...

Coppell leaving after two games threw everybody out and it took a while for Millen to get everybody fit again. Coppell spent pre season doing stupid sprint training so all our players looked shattered about 70mins into a match. Also at one stage we had only two fit defenders in our entire squad because or an obscene injury list, that wont happen this time round.

How do you explain your lot failing then? What're you going to do differently this time round?

Both of us are not massive clubs by the standards of some in this league, i'm not saying he wont join you, just that he'll cost you far more than you expect to pay if he does. Think about Leeds two years back, Beckford was in exactly the same position. They kept him, he left for free, but he got them promoted. Nicky is better than almost every other striker in this league, if our chairman thinks he'll last the whole season and score a shed load of goals then you'll have to pay a lot for him regardless of how much you go on about having 12 months left on his contract.

At the end of the day I hope we're both pushing for the play offs next year, it's just i've got a few mates who are massive Leicester fans so i'd never hear the end of it if he signed for you! Best of luck for next season anyways.

I have nothing against Bristol but you need to realise Maynard has only 1 year left on his deal which dont put you in the strongest position. It doesnt matter if Maynard has 1 year or 10. If he wants to leave he probaly will. All we would have to do is agree a fee. If the interest on our side is real and Maynard wants to sign for us then Maynard will be a Leicester player before the season starts

To be honest mate I do think he will probably be playing for you at the start of the season. You hit the nail on the head there, if NM wants to stay then he signs a new contract and stays, otherwise he better come and and just say he wants to leave so we can start spending your money on other players! Who else have you guys been linked with?

The reason we weren't higher than we were was because of Sousa - if you think you had a bad start then you should look at us. If we'd have had Sven for the whole season, based on points per game, we would have finished in the play-offs.

The Bosman ruling has ensured that the power now lies with the players - if he doesn't want to sign a new deal (which he doesn't look like he does) then it'll be a case of sell now or lose him for nothing next season and I'm sure you're owners are worth £400 million because they didn't let prized assests go for nothing.

Unless Maynard comes back from his holiday and signs a new deal then he'll probably be off to the highest bidder. And if you're so hell-bent on keeping him then all it takes is one transfer request and your hand is forced.

If we are serious about him then we can probably outbid likely Premier League targets like Wigan, Wolves, Newcastle, Bolton etc. I think £3.5 million will be enough to secure the deal with a few clauses thrown in.

Hardly the most reliable source, the only true thing printed in the Sun is the date.

Best of luck for the season anyway regardless where NM ends up!

    £5m is astonishingly optimistic for a player who;

    a) Has only just recovered from a serious injury
    b) Only played a quarter of last season, and
    c) Has only ONE year left on his contract!

The Maynard of two years ago, prior to injury, may well have been worth the price tag, but not now. If we pay £2m or £3m we are taking a massive risk on an injury prone player.

Now Bristol have rejected our bid. Maynard will hand in a transfer requests. We will agree a fee. Maynard will agree terms. And Maynard will be a Leicester player
