According to Gus if the team don't try for the rest of the season he'll walk. Must hang on to Gus to Build for next season.
i'm sorry but the mood i'm in he can **** off, scoring no goals at home since he took over vs bottom ten opposition, who the **** does he think he is? that is the worst record i've ever seen in my lifetime following footy he has my patience but **** me its growing thin
I think we`re all in that mood. You know as well as I do the common denominator, the rotten core is the biggest problem. Changing the manager (yet again) won`t change that. Poyet has to be given a proper chance imo, a chance to get rid of the dross who have been there for years (and seen off 3 managers), and rebuild. It`s the only way I can see of making any progress.
I feel let down by the manager with this latest threat to walk if the players do not give their all in the remaining games, surely a manager should be looking to improve the situation rather than threaten to bail out. I am a supporter of Gus and think he is doing a great job with what we have but this attitude is a bit worrying, I am hoping it is down to the pressure he must be feeling under at the moment, now is the time to give him our backing and get behind the team in the few games remaining no matter what.
Just noticed there`s no link in the OP. If there`s no quote from Gus it`s more than likely ****-stirring. We know how good they are that.
“If my team give up, I will leave,” said Poyet. “Nobody needs to sack me, I will leave on my own. If you see this team giving up before the end of the season, then you won't see me here. http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sp..._walk_away_if_my_Sunderland_players_give_in_/
Cheers fella, love a bit of evidence. “If my team give up, I will leave,” said Poyet. “Nobody needs to sack me, I will leave on my own. If you see this team giving up before the end of the season, then you won't see me here. “I need to convince the players to keep doing it, and defend this club to the end. To the last minute. We have to try our best, and then if everyone does the same, who goes down? The worst three teams in the league. “You can still be the worst, but you need to try your best, give it your best shot, and play the best way you can play. “It is not possible to see one of my teams giving up. It's going to go to the end, that's for sure. The idea is not to give up. We still have a chance, and we want to go right to the end.” Could be good bye Gus, when our club captain can't even be arsed to maintain concentration defending corners. Our leaders on the pitch have been most guilty of lapses in concentration on the pitch, I'm forever shouting 'Wake up!'
Thanks Comm He hasn`t said he`ll leave if we go down though has he? Only if they stop trying. Not the same thing.
