An interesting article on the cost of buying a ticket to watch The Arsenal http://thearsenalhistory.com/?p=8148 Looking at this it would appear that were not being ripped off as much as some fans like to think we are.
Very interesting article. I think as fans we rarely consider the amount a club has to service its wage bill and of course that has to be paid by somebody. Okay if you've got a sugar daddy bankrolling the club, but for Arsenal that has to come from ticket sales and commercial revenue. I think more fans would be pissed off if we were only employing the types of player who could command 20k - 30k per week, even if we reduced our ticket prices to suit. Essentially if you want cheap seats and a lower standard of football, then the big premier league clubs are probably not the teams to go and watch.
I think what most fans forget to think that as a club we are very close to the centre of London(Everything is more expensive the closer you get to the centre). and also we cant afford to subsidies are tickets like Chelsea do as we don't have a sugar daddy. Also you cant compare us to the other London clubs as the quality of the football we play is much better than all of them. im pretty sure the average ticket price of the London clubs compared to the teams outside of London is quite a bit higher. So i think the current ticket prices are fair considering our current situation.
guys have you seen the prices to go to the theatre or to a concert. i have to pay £90 each for decent seats for plays, and more for decent concert tickets {paid £150 to see rolling Stones} i have also been to see sports abroad, in USA many tickets are cheap but you can't actually see anything, and the seats with good views are $300 or more. so what we pay isn't that bad in comparison.
Well I guess one of our claims to fame is that we play attractive football (although I think this is subjective)? I guess the better quality of player you have, the easier you make the game look.
Very true, bloomin budget tickets for the Lion King cost a shed load and you're probably gonna be stuck behind a pole or some woman with big hair.
Priscilla Queen Of The Desert is on here this week.Ticket prices range from £26-£37.50.I bet that is a lot cheaper than you'd pay in the West End Cats is on in June again ticket prices £26-£37.50
Deepest darkest Wales, where they still trade using sheep and goats. What Cym means is that it will cost you 5 goats and badger pelt to go and watch Cats, whereas in London you have to use money to trade.
Glad I don't live there then. Call yourself a man when you know all of the musicals ar eon, and those ones as well. You may as well move to Kemptown and grow a big moustache.
