****ing hell, now I'm pissed off. I have to agree with every bloody word rustic said here.

All loans out, a shark fire sale, loan out as many as possible, no contract renewals in summer, no purchases, time for the kids to step up and show us how good their coaching has been.

On the plus side, McD will be able to see out his contract

Another rumour started on Twitter. I am starting to wonder if someone behind the scenes at Leeds leaks these out to someone in Twitter land as a platform to ignite an interest or if there really is any substance behind them.

When the rumours start with players we are supposedly looking to sign we are always left disappointed with the actual outcome, the signing we get is nowhere near the quality of signing we are rumoured to be interested in.

With that in mind I guess we are going to get Bates back

The farce it has been so far I certainly would not rule it out, even more of a farce would be the fact the FL would probably allow him to pass the fit and proper test.

Does Nicola Cortese actually have any money to buy a club? I thought he was a successful chairman spending other peoples money (wisely agreed) but I don't see anything about him having enough wealth to buy and invest in us??

Cortese has been good for Southampton, but his was hardly a lone mission. By the time he arrived in 2009 Theo Walcott was at Arsenal, Gareth Bale was at Tottenham Hotspur, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was established enough to be sold within the year and Adam Lallana had been a professional there since 2006.

This was a club with a successful, established youth policy, a strong fan base and a new ground, languishing in League One due to poor financial management.
Money restored the natural order, Liebherr money, and Cortese spent it well, as the best bankers do. That’s why billionaires use them.
