I really don't get all the fuss about Rooney's goal, the pundits have been creaming themselves over it all weekend as if it was one of the THE greatest goals of all time! Yes, it was a cracker and it took a bit of genius to attempt a shot from there but come on, what on earth is the keeper up to? It bounced in the middle of his goal for heaven's sake, had it gone in the top corner (like Beckham's for example which was surely better regardless of what the pundits have been saying this weekend) then I would have been more impressed, but I'm with others who say it was more a case of him spotting the keeper off his line and giving it a BOSH rather than any technical genius. Tettey's goal was blatantly better, to hit a moving, spinning ball in the air like that on the full volley and lashing it in the top corner out of the keeper's reach is far, far more impressive if you ask me. And I'm not even biased
It just enforces my theory further about how biased and corrupt the media are towards the certain clubs in this league. Here is another one for you have you ever noticed how much hype Andy Carroll gets even when his injured?
There's a poll here on which was the better goal. Tettey's is winning. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/alexander-tettey-admits-wayne-rooneys-3275579
Rooney's was a good hit.... but what was the keeper doing? http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/pitchside-europe/7-premier-league-truths-wenger-rooney-test-liverpool-182557687.html Yahoo has Tettey's being better
I'd say Tettey's was better. Maybe a touch biased ha. But this goal beats both hands down! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sqGFJ_WX6c
while we're ooo'ing and ahhh'ing here's Di Canio's effort... Perfect!
