The bloke saying I would be unhappy at us winning. The flyers just beat the best team in the 4 1 and I get a normal nights sleep so it's a perfect sports day for me.

Bonjour Oddball....ignore Swords....we did not play well in first half at all, better in second half...just shaded it....but mayhem in extra time. They could have won it at +4' But we had a huge slice of luck...goalie gifted us a goal then Ravel scored a schorcher....a different day, a different ref and we could have lost Kranky, Carolle and even possibly Morrison. Joey was booked for no reason. Sun yung played well, Joey was very busy, Zamora made a difference....Kranky was a liability. Hill and Ned good. Carroll tried hard but ineffectual...Keane was just not there...Have I got anything wrong.

Good Coles notes summary Beth. Barton really didn't need to get involved by continuing to mouth off to the ref after the dispute between Morrison and Kamara, who refused to hand the ball back for our free kick.

Fantastic individual goal from Ravel Morrison after Bobby Zamora's nicely headed flick on.

Perhaps the ref lost the plot with that incident, but for others he seemed quite lenient holding off on issuing second yellows.

I like that, I hate seeing players sent off for dodgy yellows, a player in Europe got a second yellow for an overhead kick where the other guy came in on his blideside.

The second yellow can't be a borderline one.

One thing that was noticeable in theTV highlights was the banks of empty seats, just 16000 turned up in a stadium with capacity of 35000.

Hope it wont be like that when we finally get into our 40000 seat stadium.

The easiest thing to do would be to close the upper tier and then the lower tier looks packed. Can't really do that with a crappy bowl.

It looks like to me it was a physios bottle top, were there any injuries around that spot?

At least we we have finally found out why they aren't allowed in LR.

Having seen the goal highlights, I think that, even though Green was clearly at fault, Barton made a powder-puff effort at clearing the ball in the build up when he had the chance to put his foot through it to safety. Very poor that!

    BZ planted the bottle top.

How else can you explain that he was wandering forward when the ball was played back to the 'keeper?

That would make it one of the cheekiest goals ever!

Isn't it funny, that caught my eye too, but I saw this completely differently.

My interpretation was that Joey Barton charged in and then realised in a split second that he would end up smashing into the player and giving away a PK so pulled out.

You and your rose tinted Joey glasses eh sku?

He could have put his foot through the ball, but instead chose a strange flick which just went straight into their player.
