OK so we are sitting in 8th spot with 45 points and we still games left against our 4 nearest rivals. Bookies expect us to end up with 55 points ie 3 wins and a draw from our remaiming 8 matches. Is that a fair prediction or will we do better or worse thatn that?

I've probably been wildly optimistic but I can see us winning 3, drawing 4 and just losing to City. That would give us a total of 58 points.

I can see 4 wins (perhaps Newcastle, Cardiff, Villa, Swansea), 2 draws (United, Spurs), and 2 losses (City, Everton) which equals 14 points. Or 3 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses equalling 12 points. That isn't a bad run out for a team in a good position like ours...we needn't fear anyone.

My problem is that I don't think we will lose to anyone but realise we will probably not win every game, so Everton just come out of the pot as one of the usual suspects.

Spurs are favourites to win on Sunday, but the difference in odds is not that great for an away match against Spurs. That also shows how far we have come...people are no longer surprised if we win...though admittedly we have been poor against top 10 teams this season.

Playing the legend that is Steve Williams in that game, cost us the title... IMO. His knee was like a balloon in the warm up and he then missed the following few games and the title slipped by.
