Charlie boy runs PIED DU ROI in the Haydock bumper tomorrow and I can tell you that he is very well regarded at home. He is a strapping Robin Du Pres gelding, a bit quirky at home but does look to have plenty about him!
Jumped impeccably to win under D Jacob over C&D. Pulled up when stepped up in class and distance under a claimer who has one win in 17 for this trainer. L Aspell is an interesting booking with some VG strike rates. Back in distance and class with a decent jockey, it looks all set to me.
I like the look of Appease in the 8.40 Kempton (generally 9/2). Main worry would be Sound Advice who is 8/1 with Bet365 but much lower with others. Has been running OK in higher class. At those prices I think I would dabble 2 points Appease and 1 point Sound Advice
You must be Stoked (sorry) your most favourite trainer is so strongly represented Nass. She could be onto a Barney Curley esque style massacre of the bookies!!
When they leg Charlie up they win as well. You'd have to be confident of a massive run with that claim.
First runner for Fast Company at the Curragh on Sunday, filly called Coto. Looking forward to his runners as he was a class 2yo.
An insignificant birthday milestone today gives me the perfect excuse to dip my toe back in the punting waters post Cheltenham. A ew lucky15 on The Real Milan at Haydock and Rio Milan at Warwick. The Knoxs at Haydock. Absolute dodge pot normally this one but better ground and plummeting down the weights may just spark some improvement. It seems to be attracting some market support too into 16s generally from 25s. My final selection is a blatant sponge of Stick's Warwick selection Alpancho but it is my birthday I'm getting ever closer to 50 and my ability to concentrate is not what it was. Good luck all having a go today.
Happy 49th Chan! Nearly as old as Stick. Well half his age!! Good that you are taking advice on bets from your elders!
