It would all depend really on where they were and what they had acheived in their careers thus far, there are certainly times when Ferguson would comopre favourably to Stein ... though its a bit like trying to compare players of different eras, cant really be done.

As an extension to the original question, would you folks be upset if Lennon left?
Would he be missed at all?

By me yes, I don't believe in change just for the sake of it. I'd give him a 5 year contract if it was my call.

No. He's tactically inept and we have no 'style' of football.

When I'm manager we'll play football the Glasgow Celtic way.

He's been to the very edge of the fans losing faith when we went down 3 0 against killie, it takes something substantial to come back from that. That's something most managers don't have.

I think he has his limits and weaknesses. But dont want to see him go. He is still learning and can still get better. I can see him sticking round til the huns are back. I think he may fancy trying 10 in a row. No matter what anyone says to be a manager who achieves that coukd be pretty special

I agree with all of that. I want him to stay for a good few years yet, his record in Europe is excellent so as long as he wins the league and does reasonably well in Europe i'll be happy. Besides that, I like him.
