If Lennon was tempted to go south and be our manager, who would you like to see as your boss?

Could Paul Lambert be tempted from Villa, and if he was interested, would your board pull out the stops to get him?

Would you be tempted to give a relatively inexperienced manager a chance - someone like Malkay?

Would you think it would have to be someone with a Celtic connection, or who has some idea of what your club is about.

Been saying it for years now. Get Michael Laudrup. <ok>

Anyone who thinks the manager needs to be "a Celtic man" is mentally challenged. <ok>

Need a manager with champions league/european experience on a budget ...

Owen Coyle.

That's not who I'd necessarily like to see but he's about the highest level of manager we'd be likely to attract and who would probably come (I know he never a few years back) unless we gambled on a European type with no prior experience in the UK.

Any manager would be able to win the premiership with the celtic squad ... they need no UK experience. The next Celtci manager IF Lennon did leave needs euro experience.

I would love to see a german manager ...

He will be, though.

What German manager are you hoping to tempt with a (probably) negative budget and a Budesliga 2 salary?

I was just thinking out loud...

I think a german or a dutchman would be suited to celtic/scottish football and helping celtic to finish - as a minium, 3rd in champions league group stages.

**** McNamara

If ye'd be hapy with "jackie" in the next few seaons then fair ****s but I'd be raging!

If McNamara gets them playing well and to cup finals then he'd be a good shout. Ticks a lot of boxes for me; decent football, young manager, gives youth players a fair chance.

But as it stands he hasn't done nearly enough for me to be considered for the job.

I don't give a **** that he used to play for us though. This "Celtic-minded" pish is embarrassing.

This is the problem ... being conditioned to accept the cheap option!

The aim should be champions league group stages and 3rd place as a minimum every season ...

This is true...but the expensive options wouldnt wanna come to Celtic in the first place IMO

Like players the only way we are going to get a world class one at Celtic again is to get them young enough no one else has noticed and hope they turn out world class.

Problem with that is they are nearly always going to underwhelm the fans...and they'll be a risk

We can get as good a coach as possible but there is always a risk with our playing budget we'll not make it to the CL proper

Doesn't need to be, but if two managers of equal ability were available and one was a Tim. I'd want the Tim

The only way a top drawer manager would come to Celtic now would be if he was a Celtic man
