Is 45pts too optimistic

Looking at our remaining 9 games I am predicting a final total of 45pts. We are in reasonable form over recent weeks having lost just once to Man City. We have 5 more at home and 4 away so I think a further 14pts is possible.

Home West Ham 3 (1) Hull 3 (1) Toon 1 (1) Spurs 1 (1) Fulham 3 (3) Total 11 (6)

Away Chelsea 0 (0) Villa 1 (1) Cardiff 1 (1) Baggies 1 (1) Total 3 (3)

Allowing for the fact that we may not add to our current away win total this season and if we were to mess-up a bit at home we would still hit 40pts (bracketed figures) which should see us safe. But we must have a good chance of getting 14 more points. Is that reasonable?

To be honest at the moment the only 2 losses I can see are spurs and chelsea, I think there will be quite a few wins in there too. I dont think 45 points is unrealistic at all mate
 
I think a lot will depend on whether teams are relegated of not by the time we play them, but in short No I dont think 45 points is unrealistic and I do think we are due a result on the road.
 
The problem is Ricc, given our form this season, we will beat Spurs, beat Newcastle and lose to Fulham, West Brom, West Ham, Hull and Cardiff.

We only beat the biggies <laugh> - but prove me wrong...please

Hi guys - saw the thread so I'll stick my 5 pennorth in. How's PO doing for you - no better than Kenwyne for us I hope.....<laugh>

I don't think you'll beat West Ham on Saturday for a start, and Bruce will come for a point and get it. Your game against us at the CCS will be a decider. If we beat you and I think we will (Kenwyne will score :emoticon-0105-wink:) we could go above you on the day.

Got you lot down for 37/38 points come the end of it all which should be enough this year if Brom don't get their act together. It's Fulham, Brom and maybe Norwich with that horrendous last four fixtures of theirs for the trap door for me. I'm obviously taking an optomistic approach to our own plight.

How do you guys see it panning out?

I disagree, I think we will beat West ham, Fulham and West Brom giving us a minimum of 40 points, any other points are a bonus. I think it will be fulham, Cardiff and Norwich that go down. Good luck for the rest of the season.
