Since our last Prem defeat when Mata played his last full 90 mins, our Prem record is w11 d3 L0.

Mata played the first half v Soton but was hooked at 0-0 for oscar and we went on to win 3-0

Why come out with that if it wasn't bothering him? He clearly doesn't like being played out wide and you're only getting half the player when you do play him there.

Maybe he was asked a question about it and he answered it, i agree, i want him to play in behind Rooney.

That would be a very good move, he will sparkle if played there. You got a great player, when your squad improves and your manager either comes good or is fired, you will see just how good.

Sell RVP. Then play Mata behind Rooney with Januzaj and Kagawa or eather side. Simple unless your David Moyes.

He was their best player against WBA! I know we're doing the business, but I still wonder why Jose didn't choose to keep him!

Jose stated he would rather have him stay, but in the circumstances given that he is in world cup year and needs more time on the field, to enable squad selection. I find it rather noble, and extremely considerate for him to sanction the deal. Jose has done the right thing for club and player, yet he gets no praise, and probably didn't want it from the media. We as Chelsea fans questioned his decision and many amongst us even frowned on the decision, hindsight is a wonderful thing and from the outcome and position we are in now, I ask does "The Special One" have it....I for one think so.

completely agree with you. Jose has displayed tremendous selflessness here, by sanctioning Juan deal.
He could have easily put his foot down and had him as back up for our somewhat stretched mid field.
