That surprises me to be honest, where has he admitted this? It doesn't really change much regards the match, Man City were turning up the heat but struggling to break through and it was going to take a mistake, some brilliance or a fluke to change it. I think it was a really good goal but if a fluke then unfortunately it still counts.
