Caulker would be my first choice of them, still very young for a centre half (22), and impressed me whenever i have seen him. I was suprised we werent in for him during the summer.
Adam Johnson has looked good recently, and is showing the promise that made Man City sign him, but i do wonder if this is down to it being world cup year. Hasnt done much until the last few months.
Quite like Redmond, would be good to have on the bench and used as an impact sub, and his price and wages would be a lot cheaper than Johnson.
Not very keen on any of the forwards listed, think we could and need to get better than most of them.

I say Kacaniklic a lot, not that he would be signing of the season, but he's a young international, got a bit of PL experience and different to what we have at the moment. Poch might be able to rustle up something better from abroad though.

Definitely Berahino, he's class. Wouldn't mind Johnson or Redmond, and Caulker seems to have a new lease of life. Funny how nobody mentions Hooper these days, but he's still a good striker playing in a poor side.

Stretching the boundaries of the thread, hopefully Leicester don't get promoted and we could go for Schmeichel.

I could be wrong, but as far as I am are, Kasper's contract is up this summer. So even if Leicester do come up (and they surely will), there will still be every opportunity for other clubs to come in and take him.

I liked him and Riether a lot last season, but not so much this season.

That's probably why these teams are in a relegation fight. However, it has been mentioned that we need more depth and sometimes a plan b throughout the season. Plus, there could be one very good player stuck in a poor team, or a good youngster. For example, James McCarthy signed for Everton from the relegated Wigan, so you do get some relegated players with the ability to play for a much better team.

If Swansea were to go down, there are some very good players there.

As a rule though we should improve our depth by bringing in players to compete with the first team and upgrade. I want any incoming player to be an improvement on our existing player.

He's got that bulldog quality about him. Plays in a Chile team whose style is right up our street. His hot-headedness could be a problem though.

I might have blanked it from my mind, but I don't recall him being in any trouble since his arrival in the premier league. I remember seeing those clips of him beating up patio furniture in Spain.
Lovren got sent off three times in France and came with a warning, but yesterday was the closest he has come to a red and that was one for the team.

Seems only Osvaldo has successfully continued his reputation.

With our place pretty much secure for next season, which players would you potentially like to see Saints sign from those in the relegation fight, if that team were to get relegated. For me:

Norwich
Redmond (thought we should have gone for him before he joined Norwich)
Ruddy (would provide very good competition to Boruc)

Crystal Palace
Bolasie (I thought he looked very threatening yesterday, but would depend on his consistency)

West Brom
Berahino

Cardiff
Caulker (would be very good competition at CB, especially if Yoshida leaves)
Noone (would give us something different on the wing, and has had some very good games this season)

Sunderland
Don't like the look of any of them really - maybe Mannone if he's happy to deputise for a couple of years

Fulham
Same as with Sunderland (there's a reason they're bottom!) - maybe only Dan Burn who looks to be a decent prospect at CB.

I can't see any team above Norwich going down at the moment, but feel free to include them if you think they may.

I think you can rest more than slightly assured
That your place is safe as can be,
The table would need to be shaken and stirred
For you to fall out of the tree. :)

Caulker and Berahino would be at the top of my list, though WBA might not be terribly interested in selling even if they do go down.
