I think I have been more disappointed this year than any other in relation to our away form - I really expected us to push on. I think there have been a couple of games which we deserved more from (WH & Fulham) and I am confident we would have got something from the Newcastle game had events not conspired against us - the Southampton game was another one.
So Yes, I am frustrated but also feel we are worth another 5 or so points on merit.

Fully agree nicky,after watching several negative away performances in recent times under Pulis i was expecting some improvement but we still are a Jeckyll and Hyde outfit.Need to be more clinical in front of goal,had chances today and certainly could have won at Hull the other wk.Any positive news about Agudelo the American stiker?
Yes, our poor away form continues, though a draw at Norwich was perhaps the best we could hope for as we don't seem to ever win there. We desperately need to improve on our away points total because we may not always be able to rely on our home form. Still we didn't lose today and we have gained another point on our way to 40. I would just like us to take the game to our opponents more away from home and convert one or two of the chances we do get. Instead we still try to hold on to what we have at the start then we concede and are then battling to score simply to get back on level terms.

Thanks for the run down on todays game Ricc, I was just wondering though re: your comment about Crouch. Is he missing the chances we are creating or is he creating the chances and others are not taking them?
Sorry mate if iwas unclear, personally I think crouch is a bit of a liability, he has no pace, no skill and we seem to play others out of position to fit him in. If odemwingie had got the chances he had today we would have been sitting pretty on 33npointe. A draw was a fair result as it panned out, a red card was not. Id personally play odem with guidetti upfront as crouch poses no threat whatsoever imo.
Missed all the footie this aft, went to watch Les Miserables in Londinium (no not Wenger) so was pleased with a point but not the sending off.
Just watched MOTD and we were on top for the first 20mins. Norwich didn't really impress me as the home team. We should have defended better for their goal but Walters did take his spot-kick well. The sending off did seem harsh but the MOTD pundits and the commentator thought it was a red so it must have been mustn't it? A draw in the circumstances was a fair result and was better for us than Norwich perhaps.

and that is why we are where we are! We can't control a game from much more than half a game at home, and dreadful away (most of the time). Stoke could have had the game sewn up inside 20 minutes, and for us to let a team with such a poor away record, is very worrying. More worrying is the defensive mistakes we make to shoot ourselves in the foot, having taken the lead. We were comfortable and almost cruising to a draw 1-0 home win, but then.....enter Seb Bassong (once again). I don't suppose Stoke are paying his wages are they
I thought before yesterday that a draw would have been a very bad result, but thankfully West Brom appear to be equally as bad and could save our PL lives this time.
The red card incident....I said at the time that I didn't think it looked that bad. Yes, it was high, and Tettey did have to leave the pitch for the rest of the game, but did it warrant a straight red? I am really not sure.
The red card was technically right, but again I think a big name payer from a big club would have only seen yellow. There is no point in argueing the toss because what will be will be, but I always revert to the rule of thumb that as a player you should never give the ref the option to send you off!
On a separate note I think all of you know that I am not a big Walters fan and it will be interesting to see how we line up with him out of the team for the next few games?

The problem for me is that, that is two first team players sent off in two games, I'm with Smithers in that I'm not a Walters fan but if any more get sent off or any injuries occur it could make things more difficult than they need to be at this time of the season with every team chasing points.
I reasonably sure that every Norwich fan must be bewildered about the form of Hooper and Wolfswinkel (albeit the latter has been injured - a bad bout of canine STD)

The problem, so many of us believe is, that Norwich play with two inverted wingers. Hence neither Snodgrass or Redmond get to the byline and cut the ball back, which is the kind of service both the strikers can/will thrive on. What we get is the pair of them cutting in on to the 'right' foot, making the cross heading towards the keeper, and not away from him. Just why CH bought two strikers who depend on crosses, then play the midfield the way he does, remains a mystery
I agree about Crouch mate, far too slow to keep up. And he's made some odd decisions in the last couple of games, had a good ball in but tried getting his foot up to it, when it looked like a fairly easy header. Was disappointed to see Guidettti bought back off instead of Crouch, I get that with 10 men, you want as much experience as possible on the pitch, but also want someone pacey to stay up top so there's still a chance of nicking one.
