I saw a photo this morning at golf of Dunc just before he went into care and with that fresh in my memory watched that interview of Dunc in his prime. I cried. How cruel life can be - a man who was afraid of no man or situation now living in a world of his own and the frightening thing is that it can happen to any of us.

Midway, I envy you having socialised with the great man and I share your sorrow at his situation. It's things like this that make me question the reality of a God!
Just got a sneaky feeling that the atmosphere at tomorrow's game will be something very special indeed.
I really wish I could have been around back in his day. Dunc is exactly the sort of player I like, you don't have to be the most talented or even the most athletic, so long as you give your all. That's why I am losing interest in football, the players these days may be brilliant but they only care about the money. I wish that wasn't what the sport was all about these days!

If there is a God, Dave, he will make the atmosphere so special that it will give his family the comfort to see through what is now inevitable in the weeks to come. Dig deep lads - the family need all the financial help they can get. I know that whenever City get a corner tomorrow I will imagine Big Dunc running towards the penalty area roaring instructions to all and sundry and whenever somebody crashes to the ground, waving an imaginary card and wearing that pained expression perfected by Suarez, following minimal contact from behind I will be thinking - you're lucky it wasn't 15 stone of Big Dunc reminding you he was there. 2 elbows in the back, a knee up your arse and a shin bone dissecting your balls and you would be too busy painfully counting everything to confirm you were intact to play act. If the Team between them tomorrow show as much passion for the Club as Big Dunc showed on his own every game, 3 points will be ours.
