Now maybe im biased but in the game I watched last night, unitl shaw and Lallana came on , it seemd like most of the decent work was done by liverpool players. Especially chasing the ball in defence.

I agree with you on Johnson because Johnson has been **** but Sterling has been great for us and rightly so deserves his chance.
I didn't see the game last night as I was at work but did Sterling really play that bad that he deserves too be dropped?
I would keep them all but give them the remit to play like they do for 'pool. I honestly think club partnerships are the way forward in international football, how else can you gain enough understanding of the other players' games? On paper the 'pool quartet (ignoring Johnson) with Rooney instead of Suarez is a great combo to put out, but Roy Roy'd them up.
If he didn't play for Spurs then i'd probably replace Johnson with Walker (when fit), but as he does play for Spurs i guess Johnson can stay.
Henderson is no better than Livermore or Cleverly and considerably worse than Huddlestone. Sterling saw a bit of the ball but did nothing productive with it and missed an open goal from a yard out, is he really a better option than Lennon, OX or Townsend?
Hodgson is clueless, he just picks players from the media`s favourite clubs regardless of how good they are, the inclusion of Smalling and Henderson is a good example.

Gerrard is a once very good player, but he will get caught out against faster, more ambitious opposition. He's not good for 90mins anymore, IMO.
Sturridge will be on the plane for sure, as will Welbeck, assuming they're both fit.
Sterling did enough to merit his inclusion in the squad too. He's a long way from the finished article though.
Henderson does not convince me - never has, sorry!.

However Henderson is a good player, he has a good engine on him and his work rate is top notch, doesn't do anything fancy but will chase the ball down. Deserves his place in the squad tbh, can't believe he's been compared too Cleverly

Hudd is much more suited to international football than prem in my view. I wouldn't be distressed if we lined up Hudd+Livermore in the middle for England, although Gerrard+Henderson still get the nod for me.

Fair enough mate, like I said I haven't seen him that much so can't really comment on him.
Levy will sell anybody if the price and timing is right, I am a fan of Tommy Huddlestone, sure he is not the most mobile but his range of passing is second to none (with either foot).
Henderson is simply not good enough for international football, you need more than work rate and chasing after the ball in centre midfield at the highest level, like a range of passing, vision and technical ability..... Henderson has none of it to the required standard imo.

Indeed, Smithy, the Gunners have had more than their fair share of Irish tinkers among their ranks. Liam Brady used to turn up to training riding bare-back on one of the many horses that used to roam around his housing estate, just off the Seven Sisters Road.
We seemed determined to purge our team of deep-lying playmakers coming into this year, despite the fact that Huddlestone had shown what he could do in leading our defeat of Man City. (Though of course we didn't have any trouble against them without him...)
The best plan for England would be build the team around him, since he's about the most accurate long range passer in the league, if not in football, and about the only other strength England has ATM is speed. Give him the fastest and most dangerous targets: Sturridge, Defoe + some selection of: Stirling, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lennon, Lallana, Lambert, maybe Townsend, and pair him with someone who can protect the back four, since he's slow. (Good question who though--Henderson, though I don't really rate him, Livermore?)
Set the team up to counter, sit back and enjoy watching them, for once.
Huddlestone better than Henderson? That has got to be some kind of sick joke because its not even funny. Huddlestone is just a tanned version of Charlie Adam with and afro, a pathetic footballer that probably stands out at pathetic clubs.
Huddlestone and Henderson are polar opposites. The former's an excellent distributor of the ball with no mobility, while the latter's running is his main attribute.
