As things are looking a bit tight at your end of the table, my question is, if you do go down, do you think you are strong enough to bounce straight back up at the first time of asking, or will you do as a few others like Leeds and Forest have done and take your time getting back up.

The last 2 times we have gone down it has taken 5 and 4 seasons to get back up.
There are 7 players out of contract at the end of the season so they are gone if we go down, a total rebuild during the summer will tell us if we are strong enough to bounce straight back up as what we've got are not good enough.

We aint going nowhere what is it with you guys <laugh>

I guarentee it <ok>

But if we do <whistle> we will be down there for a while we always are <doh>

We won't bounce back straight away Kev as we never do! <doh>

Any idea why that is Steve?

Last time we had a massive clear out Kev, from memory something like 15 players out and about the same amount in so there in itself was a huge problem with too much upheaval <doh>, but at least since then JB has come in and we're run much better off the field so we'll see. <ok>

FWIW and playing devils advocate, I'd only take relegation as a means to clear out the deadwood if we're guaranteed to come back straight up again but there's no guarantee mate and any decent players won't hang around. All in all it's too much of a can of worms to risk but at the moment that's the way we're heading and no true fan would hope for relegation as you know mate. <ok>

One thing's for sure mate is that I'm fed up of relying on other results as there's no future in it, at least if we do go and we do bounce back at the first attempt then we'll have a season of a winning habit and looking forward to the games with optimism rather than the current situation of fearing the worst but like I say there's no guarantee mate! <doh>

I'm fed up of relying on other results for us as well mate.
We should be able to stay where we are thanks to us, and not relying on others to lose.

As for going down and bouncing back, been there done that <laugh>
Our season when we won League 1 - you remember that - that was the season Leeds got a great start and told everyone they were going to walk the league that year <whistle> I forget who did win it that year though :)

Then we got promoted from the Championship and we had got used to that winning mentality. Sadly, this season that mentality seems to have disappeared, along with a lot of our style of play :(

Did they Kev? <whistle>

Didnt we do it in style that season <ok> let Leeds beat us by 1 point and then went on to win at Wembley ?

Surely not mate, the very same weeds that think the season only lasts up to Christmas? <whistle>
Good job it doesn't Kim, or you'd have been relegated then instead of the 22nd of this month, and we'd have been in the playoffs to really piss you wallies off <laugh>

You'd have been nailed on with your play-off record geet! <whistle>

Kim does love an open goal. <whistle>
