Who else has had a warm glow after watching the mackems lose their (third in a row, yes they are big on that) game at Wembley on Sunday?

I've had a warm glow all week (steady, now) and it's only now beginning to fade

How is your warm glow? <ok>

I always have a warm glow when we win, particularly when we smash someone. For the mackems to then to apply a heatpack with a 2nd half capitulation made it all the longer lasting.

My warm glow just got a bit warmer. My mate who is a mackem, reckons Yaya's goal was a fluke and he meant it as a cross. I kid you not. <laugh>

I've seen the accusation made on their thread, calling the goal jammy. It was a shot all day. And a good shot at that. Your mackem mate ought to be ashamed

When Yaya's shot went in I high-fived my mate and when the second one went in a minute later, we high-fived again. Even my hand had a warm glow

you're not my son by any chance ????

decided against the high five for the second goal as my hand was still stinging from the first <ok>

went for the Poyet 'pulling up pants quickly' action for the second, well that's what it looked like he was dooing when they scored

<laugh> We are all glowing mate <ok>

Here's the thing, how much will be glowing if the mackems lose against Hull in the quarter-finals? Or do want them to win and use up more effort only for them to get beat off Citeh again in the semis or the final itself? Then we really will be glowing, especially if they are still in the bottom three by May. Oh how we would glow then!

It's win-win glow-glow all round <ok>

I must admit, I've been quite cheery since Sunday.

Definitely more of a warm glow than anything else and still there hopefully for a few days yet.
I cant think what brought it on, all I can put it down too is watching Sunderland being stuffed at Wembley yet again. <laugh>

I don't quite get the 3 finals in a row at Wembley bit.

By my reckoning they've lost finals at Wembley to:
Norwich in the LC.
Liverpool in the FAC.
Man City in the LC.

Can only assume that they are not counting the Championship/Division Play off Finals against;
Swindon
Charlton (who can ever forget that one, a special finish by even their standards).
Surely they must count as they would have gotten them in English Footballs Top Division.

Is that not FIVE important Finals in a row.

I can't see that as banned, probably just as well because I would feel obliged to rip the piss something bad.

He should be ashamed. Just for supporting them. As for his assertion that it was a fluke, deluded is not the word. I've sent him one back saying I felt the same about Chadli's when we got beat off Spurs. Daft ****er. <laugh>

<laugh>

Well-spotted Reedio Heed, you'd think if they do make it to the final again this season they'll be fairly ****ting themselves at the prospect.

They've got a worse record at Wembley than we have

Failure experts. I'm surprised Jose hasn't mentioned it.

can never forget that one, the day my son was born <ok>

doing the dead fly act on the reception floor of QE Gateshead when the receptionist said
"congratulations is this your first"

I said, "no Sunderland had just lost to Charlton" <laugh>

for some strange reason she wasn't as amused, as I was :emoticon-0112-wonde

Charlton was a bank holiday Monday wasn't it? I was mapped and will never forget the roar in my local when Mendonca equalised and Muppet Mickey scuffed that pen. Great days.

I always get a warm glow when they sing songs about us, like they aren't obsessed. (Hi Dort's, WM (thats WM, not WUM))

Whitley? <ok> or rather Blacky

I like it over here, mind I like it over there as well (when people post that is). Stick around, it's ok on here.

That's the QE for you, no sense of humour.

Yes, a Bank Holiday Monday - a good day out on the p*** if I recall.
Good old Clive Mendonca, born and bred in Sunderland, supported them and then he goes and scores a hat-trick as well as in the penalty shoot-out against them.
What dreams are made of.
As for Metal Mickey, remembered forever for being a d***.
