I always thought Robinson was a really underrated talent. I wanted to post my favourite song by him, We didn't know (what was going on), but sadly it don't appear to be on Youtube:emoticon-0106-cryin

One of my most bizarre teenage memories was when The Rising Free EP came out (no pun intended). It included this gay helpline number on the back sleeve. One of my mates was a bit wasted and thought it would be humorous to phone up and pretend to be Jeremy Thorpe. You had to be there, but it was fairly spectacular.

I always wanted to do a country version of 2-4-6-8 Motorway, it would have been spectacular

It would have been. My mate and I used to busk several decades ago and we did this speeded up country western version of Floyd's Wish you were here. I even added a bridge that just kept repeating so you think you can tell. We nearly got battered over it once by these squaddies:smile:. Genius is pain.

It was a magic tour. I had just rented one of the pockets in the big suit and myself and twenty four others lived there quite happily for a year until David took the band on tour. It was fine at first when he came out with the acoustic at the start and all. See when he started dancing around though well that was murder. My cormflakes ended up all over the burds napper, and I challenge anyone to skin up when slippery people came on. It ended in tears though. My mate was into this ouija stuff and summoned Bob Marley while we listened to that Jezebel spirit track (Byrne was mucking about with it at a rehearsal in Toronto). Marley's ghost managed to leave burners all over David's pockets and he evicted us all. Burning down the house. The big Suit did not stay open.

Cinema in Dublin used to show 'Stop Making Sense' every Saturday night so we all went geared up ie joints rolled, cans of beer, living with the Ma at the time so staying out of the house was a must but anyway all nestled in for film and letting loose but what happens next f**king one of the Rockie films comes on.Jaysus, due to popular demand blah blah blah we got our money back and had to leg it down O'Connell Street to get last bus.Great band, great music and IMO Talking Heads must be one of the most underrated bands of all time.

They have always been my favourite band mate. When I was younger I also had a major Tina Weymouth crush, and looking at that picture, I'm not sure it has gone away.

One of my big regrets in life is not seeing them live-I did see DB a few times.

Do you know he is Scottish?(from Dumbarton)
