Today was a joke for Red Bull. You try to feel sorry for them but they insist on tight packaging and bodged cooling. Caterham could manage it, why won't Red Bull just simply have bigger intakes and outlets. No sympathy for them at the moment, they are doing this to themselves.

You could argue that yesterday they showed that when the car is working the aero is very effective. I sense a great reluctance to sacrifice the car's strengths so they are trying to find other ways. So far they haven't found them, but if they do everyone is going to be in trouble.

Interesting that Red Bull are trying to use their own batteries! The other Renault teams are using Renault batteries. Seems like Adrian thought he could save weight and space with their own batteries!!!!

Best get some rechargables from Aldi!

McLaren's reliability going backwards. Seem slow as well. I think the time of year where my optimism gets crushed is rapidly approaching.

Everyone still having lots of reliability gremlins. Has to be remembered that any sign of an issue in testing and they will bring them in. I'm sure if it were during a race some of the teams will have carried on and managed the situation as best as possible.

Even so, if half the field finish in Aus I will be very surprised.

Something I noticed a while back is the exhausts seem to be approximately at head height for a following driver. Has any driver commented on whether having all this exhaust in their face when following another car closely is causing them any problems?

Can't imagine following one of these things closely for 20 laps would be particularly pleasant if the driver is being slowly gassed by the car in front!

Is it me or is the Mercedes getting less reliable as testing goes on.

Most of the bad luck seems to be striking Hamilton as well but Im used to that.

May be a combination of new components they are testing, or just old ones that have worn out.

Wonder how strict the FIA will be on the gearbox/engine limits this year as there will be lots of penalties being handed out otherwise.
