Another uninspiring first half performance. Hopefully another second half improvement is on the way. Regardless of the minimum rest between games, we should be putting bottom of the table away.
Don't need Eto'o or Nando, if Andre keeps up his finishing touch like this. Again Cech was questionable for the goal today, he was yard away from two of our players and didn't take control of the situation. When was the last time Cech came out to collect crosses and cleaned out our players let alone opp players ? He is still the best shot stopper out there, however close to worst when it comes to crosses or being aggressive.
Fantastic finishing from the German. Now onto Spurs and putting them to the sword. Arsenal finally collapse.
end of March is scary for Goons. Spuds & Us Away, City @ home. May well end up outside top 4 by then; could be huffing and puffing for their own '4th place trophy'!
Good hat-trick by Andre at last some consistent display by a forward; as for Cech he's never been comfortable coming out for crosses since the "Hunt" incident - wearing the protective headgear is a constant reminder of what can happen at close quarters. All in all looking good at the moment better to have points in the bag than games in hand.......onwards to Lemon Sherbet & his Spuds.
Mourinho said: "At half-time, I told them nothing - nothing - not a word. I walked in, then I walked out. I don't know if anyone else gave a team talk. I was not inside the dressing room. It certainly worked this time.
It's a bit like when your Dad looks at you when you know you've done wrong as a kid. "You had better buck your ideas up son or your'e in for a hard time."
Three well taken goals from Schurrle. Wonder how our strikers would've compared given those three chances? Torres should've had a couple before that, especially after Stekelenburg kicked it at him. Goal we conceded was a bit sloppy again though. Cechs fault? Still, a decent win in it what could've been a tricky game what with new manager syndrome etc.
