I always had faith that we could stay up, especially when Huddlestone and Livermore came in. I did think that Palace would do a Derby though. If they had kept Holloway I think they would have done so.

Ooh, that would be a shame, wouldn't it? :emoticon-0116-evilg

Yeah, as I said, you've bought very well; better than I thought you'd be able to (I hope we can attract players like Huddlestone and Jelavic when we're up there). I don't really want to get into talking about our chances in the Prem until promotion is sealed - but I'll just say I rate Pearson highly!

    It certainly would...

Pie eating tree hugger Andy Reid out for 6 weeks with a hernia. Must have been attempting Guiness world record for the largest steak and kidney.

Its not that hard to be called a Ace at Man U now.

Genuine question for everyone. Do you think Man U regret selling Matty James and Danny Drinkwater?

When you consider the amount of stick Cleverley's getting for them, then maybe. I do still think Cleverley's class but rate Drinkwater almost as highly. I don't think the appreciation for Drinkwater is shown enough on here, he's the best midfielder in the division IMO.

A better version of Drinkwater is exactly what United need

No ... neither was good enough early enough for United e.g Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, Butt, the Nevilles, Cleverly and now Januuzaj ... as such, DD and MJ would not have held their own against foreign imports ... United have some splendid midfield talent, Mata and Kagawa are incredible technical footballers ... for whatever the reason Moyes just isn't getting the best out of the team and whatever the supportive noises he will only get next season at most ... why the hell he is persisting with the one dimensional Ashley Young on the left when he could have been playing Januzaj or Zaha there only he will know ... but his real problem is an ageing / sub-standard defence that has been very vulnerable ...

FF im not trying to say James or Drinkwater are world class players or anything. I look at Man U midfield and other then Juan Mata i dont see any obvious quality there. I dont really see what Tom Cleverley has what they dont

Januzaj is an 'exceptional' talent, Tom Cleverley is already a full England international ... and he looked a very good prospect in his short period with us (allowing for the opposition etc) ... the point I'm making is that he did enough early on (as the others named also did) to suggest to the Old Trafford hierarchy that they would be future internationals etc (they all are barring Januszaj - who will certainly be one one day) .. DD and MJ fell short of that ... I think they are in the 'slower burners' category - looked like they might go on to become decent players but not internatioals / champions league material ... not to say that they won't necessarily get to that standard one day - they both have potential that is for sure (but there is lots of competition) ... but if they were still at United right now I'd doubt they would even be in consideration for a place on the bench e.g Zaha ... just my opinion

I would say probably so. We seem to have shaken Forest and QPR off, and if we could shake Derby off by extending by another 3 points. Well, then we are nearly 5 wins better off than the team in third. So if we win only 5 of the last 13, it means Derby must win 10. Or something......Oh God the maths are keeping me awake at night!
