Aiming for the same price point, I came up with:

Vortex Series: 15.6" Matte Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-4700MQ (2.40GHz) 6MB -- Same as the one you posted previously
    16GB SAMSUNG 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (2 x 8GB)
    NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M - 3.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11
1TB SERIAL ATA II 2.5" HARD DRIVE WITH 8MB CACHE (5,400rpm)
ARCTIC MX-4 EXTREME THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY COMPOUND (£9) -- Not a bad idea for £9 as this thing may produce some heat
    GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS INTEL® N-7260 (300Mbps, 802.11BGN) + BLUETOOTH

    Everything else standard.

    £951.67 ex VAT.
    £1,142.00 inc VAT and Delivery

TSS knows his stuff and will probably suggest something a little different, but the graphics card is what will make or break it. The difference between the 765 and 770 is £142 with everything included, but there's also a pretty significant difference in performance there...significant enough that the 770 will still be running games at 1080p on high/ultra settings a year after the 765 cannot, I'd expect.

That's the problem with gaming laptops; even the high-end-but-not-ridiculous options aren't spectacular, but if well-built the components of that one should have a nice degradation curve in terms of performance...worst-case with all but the most demanding, you'll be running on high settings in a couple years rather than setting it such that every mote of dust has its own hopes, dreams and personality.

For those who didn't realise and are interested (Dan), there is now finally a new episode of Archer. I am excited.

Hmm, If it wasn't for the letter saying Churchill Contract Services I may have been convinced that the note was written by the Wales manager.

National team managers have a lot of free time on their hands, so he works part-time as a cleaner.

Two old ladies were outside their nursing home, having a smoke when it started to rain. One of the ladies pulled out a condom, cut off the end, put it over her cigarette and continued smoking.

    Lady 1: "What's that?"

Lady 2: "A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet."

Lady 1: "Where did you get it?"

Lady 2: "You can get them at any drugstore."

The next day ... Lady 1 hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms. The guy looks at her kind of strangely (she is, after all, over 80 years of age), but politely asks what brand she prefers.

Lady 1: "It doesn't matter as long as it fits a Camel."

It's been so long I've almost forgotten what the storyline is! Oh wait, no I haven't, they're dealing drugs and Pam is an addict and 100% of the jokes are about Pam being an addict. (unless this episode is better)

Really disappointed with this season. One good episode, a couple decent ones, an overarching plot that really isn't terribly interesting.

Thought it was getting better with the last couple of episodes but yesterday's wasn't particularly great. The Pam thing is just boring. On the plus side at least they've finally left that house.

If Game of Thrones turns out disappointing I may just have to end it all.

Should be alright. Apparently there's no drop off in quality in the books so the TV series should be the same... right?
