OK so we move on to Liverpool at home. A sell-out crowd live on TV. A chance to make amends for two poor performances. Question is who starts. I presume Dejan will be back and MP has pretty much a full squad to choose from.

We need to cut off the supply through to Sturridge and Suarez so need to make sure we win midfield. I think I'd change things and start with Vic and Morgan but still play Jack further forward instead of Davis. Up front I'm tempted to go with Gallagers pace but if there is one game where RL wants to score it's this one!

    My starting 11

    Boruc

    Chambers Lovren Fonte Shaw

    Vic Morgan

    Jrod Cork Adam

    Rickie

Subs KD Clyne Maya JWP Davis Gaston Gallagher

If he scores, I will go to 10 Pompey matches. That's how confident I am.

If Wanyama didn't even make it to the bench on saturday, why would he suddenly start over Cork?

I'm sure he scored a few at Burnley. Pretty sure one was a spectacular diving header.

Mauricio doesn't like to play people out of position, neither is he prone to taking wild/inspired risks. Am expecting no changes apart from Dejan being fully fit to play and Wanyama returning to the fold (was he injured...gave press conference and then didn't travel). We might as well have a stickied thread saying Team for Next Match.

If I was Tom I think I'd have to bet on Cork scoring now. Just to ease the pain!

Why are people always so eager to drop Steven Davis? I have watched a lot of games both home and away this season and I have to say that I think he has consistantly been one of our best midfielders. I don't like to judge a players performance on stats alone, but both his goal and assist stats are better than almost every other midfielder at the club.

Cork will score eventually, am I right in saying he has actually scored for us already, against west brom in a preseason friendly? And Morgan never used to score I remembered the chant I was there when Morgan scored against Bristol Rovers away! Good things come to those who wait.

Star Cork and Ramirez, with Davis and Wanyama on to shore things up later on if we're leading. And Lovren, obvs.
