i think Harry has shown just as Sven that managers with a reputation and the ability to spend other peoples money like its going out of fashion then your team is doomed, doomed i tell you. i am glad that we haven't rushed out and brought players in on loan, because its a bit of a catch 22 situation if they do well for you they are brought to others attention a bit like Woods for Millwall last season and the parent club wants a fortune or they aren't much better than what you had like harry Kane

I was thinking the same mate. That fixture has come at a great time for us as long as we take advantage and beat Charlton at home. Do you think actually a Burnley win would suit us better, to take Derby further adrift or for them to draw and keep them both further adrift and let them scrap it out. We must just keep concentrating on our games as we are doing then it wont matter. is that now 14 games unbeaten?

.. my mind set keeps saying that a draw when the chasers play mean that 2 potential points get extinguished ... as long as that keeps happening we sit pretty where we are ...

Yeah I know what you mean Fosse, that makes sense I guess. Id love us to take max points from next 3 games v Charlton, Barnsley & Blackpool (very feasible) and the finish line would be almost visible in the distance!

I think we have to be pretty disappointed to not get maximum points from these games, agreed. Normally this league is impossible to predict but we just seem to know how to win now. 22nd win of the season yesterday!

6 wins will give us 89 points and that matches Cardiff's tally last season

3 more wins beats Hull's total

We can well and truly slump like last season and beat Hull's total

Even in our 'slump' last season we managed to win that number of games (Blackburn, Bolton and Forest).

That's what I'm on about.

Let's just try and enjoy the journey between now and the end of the season. I think if we beat Charlton we are up as Burnley play Derby. If that ends up a draw then I think we could tie the league up against Barnsley

Last season the difference being that us and Watford lost quite a lot of game but never drew, just also had a lot of wins, which makes the points total much lower overall.

Just looking at the table.

Seems daft to think that a side can lose 15 games and still be promoted.

It was our record of scoring first and being able to keep a lead which got us up. It was comfortably the best in the division.

Most losses we had we didn't score, If we scored we usually won. Even our draws were usually 0-0 from my recollection.

Who was that then? <whistle>

Don't worry, it was worth it in hindsight for this season surely?

I think so. I thought you guys had gone up too early for your own good but you've bought well. We look ready for the Prem but will still need to buy I think. Even so, I can't wait to see how players like James, Vardy, Drinkwater, Moore and Knocky cope in the Prem. If they were up their this season they would have been murdered, but they've improved so much this season, I can't see why they can't step it up again next year. I think the timing is perfect.

The timing was perfect for us all.

Expect Watford. And maybe Cardiff, their Championship lads haven't stepped up whereas ours have and so have some of Palace's.

I thought Cardiff would do well and Hull and particularly Palace would go down. Looks like it could be the other way round! Just goes to show there are still some surprises in the Prem.

Watford blew it big time on the last day of the season and in the play-off final. Now they're nowhere. Still, at least they aren't overrun by debt, unlike a club I could name this season who could be in trouble if they fail to get promotion.
