Actually just made a good and quick call on that knock on. I seem to remember (probably wrongly) that he was involved in a critical game with some controversial decisions at the last World Cup (sending Warburton off v France? Which was probably a good call, or at least a justifiable one) where his mixed nationality simply added to the tension. But if the teams and their respective unions are happy with it great. Seems this is his last international to ref anyway.
Wales have shown more intent in the first 20 minutes than in the entire game v Ireland. England failing to beat France is looking like a big miss.
My uncle, also a dub, was based in Gloucester and sent me many racing tips, some of which were good.

Mate, perhaps you know something that I don't so apologies for any ignorance on my part but what's mixed about his nationality? The fact that one of his parents was from a different Country is all I believe it to be. Again, it would be interesting to know how many refs have a parent from outside their own Country. I suspect Rolland is being singled out because his name sounds foreign.
If we're to call everyone with a parent from another Country as having mixed nationality then half the footballers in England would be considered mixed and not English! I always considered Sir Les to be English, for example, but if his father was from a different Country would that mean that he'd be demoted to simply "mixed"?
A welsh win would be great for both England and Ireland however, I want to see a tight match as Pts difference could be vital.
You have a legendary history of turning nothing into something. His father is French, his mother is Irish. What's so hard to understand about that.
He sent off a welsh player in the World Cup semi final against France and was ridiculously castigated by some. Every neutral pundit said the card was warranted.

It would certainly crank things up for Twickers mate. I think it probably will be a tight points difference, unless the French lose all form and discipline as they can do away from home.

You're reading too much into my wording, I'm struggling to find the right one. I just remembered that he reffed that big Wales -France game in the last World Cup, and many welsh fans weren't that happy (unjustifiably). My son (half Welsh and totally Welsh when it comes to rugby, as is my daughter, means I am in a minority of 1 in my house for the Wales -England games) is still seething about it.
That loss of the scrum against the head, getting pushed off the ball, could be a crushing blow to the French.
Not at all Stan. I just don't think that if one of your parents is from a Country other than your own, that automatically means your own nationality is "mixed". Your race perhaps in some cases, but not your nationality.
