a) Composed on the ball, can distribute but not ready for a blood and thunder, backs against the wall match versus Hull. b) Not that impressed TBH. No real pace. is he a striker or inside forward or winger? Joe Mason would do a better job. c) Saw enough in cameos v West Ham (I think?),Man U & Villa (plus his goal v QPR for the DVP team) and for 90 minutes v Wigan to evidence he is a star in the making. Eikrem not worth an opinion? I have seen enough now to not be overwhelmed. Maybe after a few more games we'll see if he has something but unsure of what he is best at, and how he can improve on Whittingham?
Definitely some positive signs v Wigan, in particular Daehli. Its a long time since I've seen a player with so much natural ability at his age. I hope he starts Saturday and is played in his favourite position just behind the main striker whether that is KWJ or Campbell. If Noone starts as well, as he should, then we probably need 2 defensive mf's plus one other more adaptable mf assuming Mutch not fit - not Zaha. Can't see us start with Zaha, Daehli and Noone. The latter 2 were much more effective agaisnt Wigan.
Sorry, told a porkie, the last one I saw with such ability was Ramsey. Now didn't turn out badly did he?
Cala looks good Berget. Run of the mill Salvador. looks a very bright prospect. This is only my view, if we keep losing at home and playing badly, i do fear the return of the dreaded mid 80's chant of 'What a load of rubbish' Cant expect the crowd to be upbeat if the players on the pitch are dire, and these are people earning a minimum of £15k a week.
