Some of the chavs going on about City's spending is a larf. They keep making a loss, win the CL then the EL and still make a loss and then complain about City.

By the start of 2013 Chelsea spent £1,046,000,000 on players, that's just spend. City £742,000,000, why again are Chelsea complaining about City's spending

Probly cos they started supporting Chelsea just in time to win the first title in 05, and by then they'd already spent £250 mill so that doesn't count.

Alternatively they just can't cope with not being the big financial dogs any more. Much like all those Liverpool fans complaining Utd's dominance made the PL boring and commercial. Wonder how many of them were complaining about boring dominance in the 70s and 80s? ;)

If 'chavs' are complaining, can't really see that they are, but I guess it would be because most clubs are buying and selling with FFP in mind (i.e. keeping losses to an acceptable limit in Chelsea's case) yet City don't seem to have any regard to it at all. Perhaps cos they can sell naming rights to a stadium they were given and factors like that.

A large portion of Chelsea's spending was prior to FPP and we had Roman a while before the Sheik so inevitable we would have spent more. Not rocket science,

in all fairness, Chelsea are within FFP so far thanks to their policy to buy on installments and better management by getting rid of old players with big wages .. not sure how they will survive though if they wanted to continue signing same quality players without damaging their chances to meet FFP and break the bank, they are keeping piling up those installments

I think a large proportion of revenue comes from TV deals and sponsorships which all the big clubs get a lot of money from. We have a large and expanding fan base, certainly on par with probably all bar United on a global basis (in the P.L). Our biggest problem is the stadium size but that's only 1 avenue. The days of massive spending probably are over to an extent but a large proportion of that spending was playing catch up anyway. We'll be okay for a while. We have a young squad and loads of quality youngsters to bring in or sell on. All remains to be seen whether FFP has any teeth anyway.

the problem is you are spending alot more than other clubs with same fanbase and same TV deals ..
but agree, let us see how much UEFA are serious with their FFP, heard it was challenged by same lawyer that was behind the Bosman ruling, am sure City, PSG and moncao owners are behind it, at least to delay it till they sort out the clubs

I cant see how Euro court can do much about it, as in an "invitation to play" so play by UEFA rules or you cant play in the CL or EC

they are arguing it is a business, and if UEFA ignored other alternatives
am not a legal expert, but I read that UEFA can be sued for 100s of millions if they banned a club and Euro court ruled that FFP is not fit a year later, so they are guessing UEFA may not go to the extent of banning a clubs until the court make a decision

Add to that loaning out bag loads of players to cut the wage bill.

So when City get creative with their finances will everyone just shut up?

Right on cue. The cheating racist dived. But the ref saw the obvious dive. When will tikitaka stamp out this cheating scourge amongst his players?

Ref made a fair few bad calls, not the peno though, Johnson piss poor agger piss poor Shrtel piss poor. 3 players saved us today, Hendo Allen and Studge. Everyone else was below par, some well below par. Ming made a couple of important saves but we really should have won that 4 1 or something.

There was contact but it was accidental. I mean one of yours would never dive :D Those bookings for diving never happened, how many your team got now, 4? Liverpool ? How many for diving? :D
