Probably the same cup side as normal, though now we have Aluko and Brady back and no Graham we will be much better attacking-wise than before.

It's one of the irritations of the draw being made when half this round was still to play that Brighton will now be fired up to meet Poyet, so it makes our game that much harder than it would have been. It means we'll need a better team out than we could have done, but that doesn't necessarily mean different players.

There's so many ways the figures can be worked, it's meaningless, especially on a football message board. It doesn't alter what was put in any event. The pissing contests just get dull, was more the point I think me and Trout were making.

I don't think any of us were too fussed who we got, so if we do play you, at least we'd have got past Brighton, which will not be an easy game.

I think we'll take the Brighton game on; they deserve respect. If we win we will then take on Sunderland again, we will take them serious, but we know that they are beatable, but not predictable. Baz is an arsewipe, simple as, really. I lived up here 22yrs and I have had 2 non-football nights out in Sunderalnd - I pay taxis to use Newcastle and Durham; kind of says it all really - I don't like paying taxis when I don't have to.

I doubt we'd sell out in a league game vs Sunderland nevermind a cup game. Attendance will probably be championship level 15/16k given how far we've got.

I think the draw being done already is dangerous for us, as I do worry the players' minds may already be thinking of Sunderland and even dreaming of Wembley, when they really need to focus on getting past Brighton.

So everything’s set up perfectly – a win tomorrow and we have Sunderland at home in the Quarters. Win that and we could get a Championship side in the Semis, and a perfect opportunity to reach our first ever Cup final. In other words, put your mortgage on us going out with a whimper tomorrow.

Very true ^^^^ this. But Steve Bruce has told Burnsie that Aluko starting will depend on the state of the pitch. No risks being taken with Aluko. I do however expect to see Brady start along the Southend cup team (Macca and Rosie apart that is).

Indeed. What a Qtr final draw. Beat Brighton then a sell out home game with Mackems and hopefully a yorkshire semi @ wembley against one of the Sheffield clubs. Return to Wembley on 17th May for the Final. Oh Happy Dayz indeed.

Just a shame that Liverpool messed up an all merseyside derby like.

Full Qtr Final draw:-

Arsenal v. Everton
Brighton or Hull City v. Sunderland
Sheffield Utd v. Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton.
Manchester City v. Wigan Athletic.

Our Cup team is a strong team and just made stronger with possibly Aluko and Brady starting. It should have far too much for Brighton IF we turn up.
Quinn and Boyd especially for me hold the key to winning. Koren may also be up for a Wembley date. Lol.

So basically, Brighton, Sunderland and us think this is a great chance of getting to the Semis? We're probably all right too.

Really nervous about tonight, I think it'll be a tough game, I really hope we put a decent team out and play well.
