Nah, they would only have to look at last nights result to see thats not true ;)

Speaking of yesterday's game, though you did have 2 good chances (one down to a really bad error from us), that was really one of the most toothless United teams-performances I've seen against Arsenal, very uninspiring, lack of ideas, threats etc. I'd say there is a lot of work to be done at United, also considering the fact you had your best 3 attacking players yesterday.

So far in the 4 games RVP-ROONEY-MATA have started, it's drawn 2, won 1, and lost 1. And none of the performances have been stand out performances. Most of us on here did say Mata would be ineffective if he was going to play with both Rooney-RVP, because it meant Mata going out wide, and that's been happening so far.

Just compare Mata's last performance at the Emirates this season, with yesterday. Back in November he scored a wonder goal at the Emirates, and really ran the show that night against us, yesterday on the other hand, he didn't do anything, and was eventually subbed off.

I think that a 'Ferguson' United would have won last night. United were restricted to the two and a half chances that fell to Van Persie and happily parked the bus. Had our own finishing been better.....well we all can say that. That our finishing, unfortunately with Giroud the main culprit, was as bad as it was last night is a grave cause for concern. Each game now becomes 'the most important game of our season' if we want to win anything. This league is tight at both ends. We do have a chance, but as you have stated before, we must change our habits and start to get results from the 'big' games as well the 'less big' games.

I'm gutted we didn't beat Utd the other night. It was a golden opportunity to get three points from them and we looked almost as disinterested as they did. I think both teams went into that game not wanting to lose as a priority and as a result neither team really went for the win.

What Moyes has achieved with Utd is that he's got them playing like Everton did. 4-4-2 and playing a long ball game. If I were a Utd fan I'd be ****ing gutted, he's eroded any notion of skill and fear that they had. It's like Arsenal replacing Wenger with somebody like .... well, David Moyes <yikes>

Hey UnitedinRed, where are you? What happened to your big mouth? Where is this great revival you were going on about once RVP-Rooney were playing together, where art thou??????????

In the wake of their Champions League defeat at Olympiakos, Van Persie, 30, has criticised his Manchester United team-mates for a lack of service as it is revealed goalkeeper David De Gea played the most passes to the Dutchman.

Oh dear. :p

Do you think he may have upset them in someway?

I know Raymond Verheijen is a bit of a tit but his recent attack on United actually holds a bit of truth. Firstly he described Rooney's new contract as a desperate attempt to save the United brand then said he's not world class, merely capable of the occasional world class performance. Ha! He goes on to add he should have been sold as you can't use Rooney, Mata and RVP at the same time. He believes the team should be built around RVP with Mata just behind him rather than being wasted on the wing.

Having said that, he also advised RVP "to leave the Man United swamp."

Fun times. I do think he's right about United's lack of balance. Then there's the situation of spending £27-30m on Fellaini and him not even making the bench. We get mocked (incorrectly) for signing Özil and there's United spaffing money into the wind. Less said about the Spuds purchases the better...

Ozil will be much better next season. It takes time to settle in and adapt, and be comfortable with your team mates. It's also hard going from playing with Ronaldo to playing with Giroud. He's still fairly young, and learning, but he has the vision and that will make him successful.

Utd need big changes to a lot of squad areas. Their fans see it. Fergie got out at exactly the right time. And if Fellaini is going to leave them, I'd take him at Arsenal. He's a good player when played right.

Think he's well into paying for himself already. The massive moral boost that lifted the fans and players cannot be underestimated, nor can his goals and assists so far this season. Throw in the merchandising bonuses and the statement signing someone like him makes and I think we're laughing.

This is ignoring the fact it's his first season in a new league, team and country when he's not had a rest in pretty much a year. It's all opinion I guess but I think he's been pretty damn good so far and I'm not buying into the attempted character assasination from the media.

if you divide the £43million between all the Arsenal fans that got a lift and renewed hope when he signed, then it is not actually a lot of money as its money well spent imo.
i actually think this is the first of many big signings that will propel us to the top and keep us there

Good god, how bad were these jokers today? Worst United in ****ing years, so many of their players are not good enough and RVP looks like he could not give a ****.

If Manure get new owner then he can change the shirt colour to blue, as Moyes has already turned Manure into Everton [not the Martinez version]
