If we had 10 more ponts in the league and had done the same thing yesterday i would have been disapointed. But in the position we are in GM did exactly the right thing with PL survival imperative.

Does the same apply for our Europa game , should we field the same as yesterday to preserve players for the pending "Releagation battle "

<doh> you lot still on about monks magnificent and forced choice of players for a game we were never going to win.......Get over yourself.. monk is the boss now, He made the decision, he calls the shots and weighs up the situation we are in. End of.....some thinks its the wrong choice and are willing to risk key players getting injured that could lead to relegation, And some fully agree that monk is being sensible and safe guarding our premiership status....Its done it's dusted it cant be reversed and im glad that he is putting our premiership chances of survival the No1 priority...<ok>

Trunds this is spot on. Its to much of a risk to play key players.....We are in a precarious situation not knowing our fate yet and like you pointed out if we had another 10 or more points there would not be an issue....our stay in the premiership must be the priority and cup matches can wait until we are in a better position...

Agree with that Trundle.

Also my take on it, had we all ready played the first leg against Napoli and loosing, then Garry might have said well were out of Europe and played a stronger team against Everton. He was dammed which ever decision he made, weekend team or full strength team.

The surprise for me that Southampton put out a weekend team out against Sunderland six changes. Where there PL survival is guaranteed, they could have placed the emphasis on beating Sunderland and progressing possibly to the final.

yes he did make the decision so he'll have to accept the flak that goes with it, when it's due of course .

But you'll never know because you'll be following whatever team Laudrup is currently managing.

Hopefully tomorrow's press meeting is an announcement that he's going to manage another club so you can go and infest someone else's forum.

Bye bye.

That post really shows your true class, or lack of. You're ignored from here on. PM an excuse. Can't see your posts anymore. MODS. Is this ok?

You can put whoever you want on ignore. Don't need the permission of the MODS to do so <ok>

I wont be disappointed if we lose to Napoli. I would love us to win. But ulitmately i want to watch PL football next season.

Losing to Napoli isn't the issue - it's about stating an intention to win - fielding a full strength side. Napoli are favorites by far. Look at their line up, at their transfer budget, their legacy. FFS Diego Maradona played for Napoli. They have Higuain!

What a load of rubbish.

I don't see anything wrong with it , makes uzi look like a bit of knob but if he doesn't care so be it .

I was refering to uzis comment - I don't think it's fair to be talked to like this, i mean he'd never say this to my face, would he... post 51

Nothing insulting was posted Mikra, and its just two people not agreeing, and he thinks you will be off when ML finds a new club, so don't see a problem with it myself, you have the right to stick up for yourself

Mikra's got a point.

I was going to change "infest" to "delight" but didn't get round to it. Sorry.

Never mind - won't miss his comments on this topic anyway... Maybe he should just hop on the bus and stay in Kidderminister - where ever that is...
