After today and from what I've read above this is clearly the case mate. It was obvious that things weren't right on the pitch, it needed sorting out early doors. We needed someone to play in the hole in front of the back four to add a bit of stability and shape. I kept looking across to the bench and everyone one of them just sat there. There was not one person in the technical area barking out instructions. We were all over the place. There was no shape and no desire.
To play Barton and Kranjcar in the middle together in a two man central midfield was completely inept mate..........Hughesesque in fact!
And whilst I'm in rant mode..........how bloody useless is that Don Goodman. He declared that Rangers were still playing with a back 4 after we had clearly gone to 3 at the back!! How much are these numptys paid?
Trust me if you were the Chief Operating Officer of your new Company you would have been pulled up on it. It would be classed as disrespectful to your employees and imply a hankering for something else whist not being fully focused on your new tasks and objectives. Now translate that to Arry and you have the what.
To be fair, a knee jerk reaction that plenty on here wanted. I never expected us to be doing well tbh after last seasons debacle. We've all been given false hope after our good start. I'm not going to get worked up about a promotion that was always a long shot I've decided. And then if we do manage to go up by some fluke, it will be all the sweeter. (Not that I think that's going to happen) . I'm not prepared to lay the blame all at Harry's doors either nor do I think it'll be easy to source a good replacement if he goes.
Yep, Kranjcar should only play in a three man midfield. But having said that I wouldn't play him again unless I really had to.
Being pulled up on it doesn't mean it's anything more sinister than just a slip of the tongue though does it? I suspect that one way or the other, while he was busy propelling his new club to the top of the league, people were prepared to overlook it - if they ever cared in the first place. (which nobody on this site would if we hadn't just turned in a couple of cock awful performances). We're a fickle bunch on here - it wasn't long ago we were crying out for stability during the Tango and Cash years, quite rightly so. Now, the first few signs of the **** hitting the fan on the pitch and we're on the phone to the firing squad. Im as irritated as anyone danish but do we all really want to pull the trigger that badly??
No you've absolutely right there. As much as I'm indifferent to Harry getting rid now would be utter madness. However, the board should be now offering everyone a massive bonus to get up from here, they're all mercenaries so give the what they want whist scouring the WORLD for our next long term manager.
