How would people feel if we went after him? Wants to come back to England and Birmingham had a £5m option to buy so wouldn't cost the earth. If you have a look at his record its pretty impressive. If it was a straight decision Martins or Ngog I know who id go for.

Ask our mag visitors, they're better placed than we are to judge, but on his last season with them, I reckon the answer would be certainly mixed, also he'd prob want hefty wages, a lot more than N'gog

Not sure I'd agree with you there. He scored some absolutely stunning goals for us. He wasn't interested at all during the season we got relegated, but then the whole team weren't, including the players that still play for us! NUFC.com have him down as scoring 35 goals in 89 games, which isn't bad.

    Wages, temperament, inconsistency, ego.

4 reasons why we should NOT get Martins.

He pissed me off so much in that last season. He was shut at Birmingham. Lazy, no end product on most occasions. Some stunners yes, but a penalty miss at Everton and home to Arsenal ring a bell. Shocking number 9.

With Wolves being my second team, his failure was quite delightful to me.

I remember on Ye Olde 606 the Blues fans invading the Wolves board gloating about how Wolves weren't spending any money on "big names" and how Brum were, quoting Martins as their chief example, further claiming that Wolves were as good as down and Birmingham were Europe bound and beyond.

Well part of it turned out true!

    Sometimes justice is sweeeeeet.

Funnily enough, if anyone remembers, this is a player I said back in January/February that we could have gone for until the end of the season after '****' ****ed off.

Would have liked to have alook at him but agree he comes with alot of baggage (bit like Ba to be fair) and maybe would have been disruptive rather than positive. Mind you, given our god damned awful forward options for much of February to April, he would have got a good run in the team.

One of them just dont know players.

When I was a teen I had no real affiliation to any one club. I loved both Newcastle and Sunderland. As I left home and Mike Ashley bought Newcastle I began to move more and more towards Sunderland so followed Newcastle closely while he was playing for the first couple of years.

Never seen a more obvious mercenary and he was ****ing playing next to Owen. So that's saying something.

Also... Obafemi Akinwunmi Foluwashola Oshadi Martins (try annunciating that). One of my mate's dad's gave me the second best piece of advice I've ever received when I was about 14.

Much like with your girlfriends, you need a footballer whose name you can remember.

Scored the improbable, fluffed up the unmissable - just about sums it up.
fantastic goal scorer when he wanted to be. Shame that just wasn't much of the time.

On consideration, I don't think he'd be one that would suit us.
