OK new day and time to look forward not back. Next up a trip to West Ham and a game I really badly want us to win. I have nothing against West Ham as a club but cant stand Fat Sam and that nasty little oik Nolan.I think we owe them a beating!

Hopefully we didnt pick up any knocks yesterday so should have a full squad, less Gaston and Dejan, to choose from. MP has a deciosn to make at RB, in midfield and up front with Rickie seeming to be struggling.

It will be a real battle in midfield so I'd start with Vic and also give Gallagher another go up front to use his pace.

    Boruc

    Chambers Fonte Maya Shaw

    Morgan Vic

    Jrod Davis Adam

    Gallagher

Subs KD Clyne Jos Cork JWP McQueen Rickie

Didn't Dejan say he'd be back for West Ham? Maybe not playing the whole game but it would feel a lot more secure with him and Fonte back together. Agree about Gallagher though.

Yes, move on. Yesterday never happened. West Ham have been to Dubai...let's hope they are still in holiday mode when they return. All the teams fighting relegation will be hard to play against from now on....it's noticeable how they are picking up points now. Dejan indicated on twitter that he thought he would be fit for this Saturday...just depends if the medical team and coaches agree. I'm happy with Fonte and Maya rather than risk a set back. I'm sure Lambert will be back to himself next weekend...I think a lot of players were disturbed by the team change against Sunderland, not just Rickie. The main players must have felt added pressure to do well, which in the end was detrimental to their performance. Once they know everyone is where they are supposed to be, we will see a different level of performance (I hope).

At least Carroll is suspended so he won't be flinging himself to the floor at every opportunity.
I agree start with Sam up front cork back in, and then 2nd half bring Rickie and Vic on I don't think Vic is match fit quite yet and Rickie is carrying a slight back/hip injury.

My concern with bringing Sam into the starting line up for this game is that West Ham are just a team of thugs who like to kick the crap out of anyone trying to play football. Sam would be marked by the likes of that clogger Collins...is he ready for that experience yet?
If Lovren is fit, I would bring him back to deal with the physical onslaught that is coming our way

I don't think we should rush Sam just because we are a striker down. He's had a few late appearances and a couple of decent performances, but Mauricio seems to be holding back and we'll have to trust him on this. It's too easy to put too much on young shoulders...it's not his fault we are a striker down. He doesn't suddenly become a PL ready striker just because we need him to be.

If gallagher was ready to lead the line against arsenal, he can do so against west ham.

Lovren & fonte at the back would be a huge boost.

Well I agree with the idea of using Sam's pace but let's stick to the basic's for West ham. By putting our strongest team out with lambert and co.

We then have Sam, dejan, Vic and gaston on bench and depending on how the match pans, out give a few of them a run out.

I would be tempted to start Gallagher and bring Lambert on near the end.

Could be worth a go, is he back in training now? I'd stay with Clyne and Vic, then the rest of our team sort of picks itself...

Played for the U21s friday night. I wouldn't start with Vic, sorry, but Cork deserves his place.

Just think Vic would dominate Nolan and Noble.

So would I. He can't exactly be a lot more ineffective than Rickie's been lately. Love the guy, but come on...
