Looking foward to seeing Teaforthree run today with Noel Fehily on board. I wonder if thats a possible jock up for the Natonal come April?? Fehily could be free to ride him.

Word of warning to anyone who's been sent the Timeform Cheltenham mailshot. I got mine this morning, and it's fine except that it's last year's edition (several clues, one of which is that they've shown the opening Tuesday as March 12th). I'm assuming the 2014 version will have different prices but, on the positive side, they do flag up Simonsig very strongly for the Arkle.

Mech: nice to hear from you.

Why is Zarkandar running over 2 miles again? He's going for the World Hurdle. Why hasn't he run over an extended trip?

That's precisely my thoughts on the Bet of the Weekend thread, Bob.

You can surmise that PN wants to get him another run, but surely a 2.5m or 3m race could have been found?

Un Temps Pour Tout was excellent there. Suddenly the Neptune is not the boil over for Faugheen that I thought it was. This one and The Tullow Tank both likely runners and we're looking at a competitive race out of nowhere.

I dont think its that interesting or tricky Ron, Cole Harden goes to the front and if hes the horse I think he is they wont get near him. If Pipes was anything special he would have won that woeful grade 2 last time, Zamdy Man done him from the front and I expect Cole Harden to do the same, Irish Cavalier will get found out here, doesnt have anywhere near the potential of Cole Harden to my eye.

This is the best horse Greatrex has trained and hell be lucky to get another like him anytime soon.
Almost 100% accurate Joe. It wasn't tricky, it wasn't interesting, CH did bowl along in front, they didn't get near him (well briefly), Irish Cavalier was found out.

I assume they must be disappointed with that. Or the winner is something special.

Dont know about them but I certainly was, the one worry I had going in was his tendency to jump left and the jockey took him away over to the other side of the track, whether that was a decision based on the ground or his jumping I dont know. He must have given away plenty of ground but obviously it wouldnt have mattered, the winner looked a different horse today and the big hitters were on it seems with all the owners at the track for it today.

Chasing will be his game but if the handicapper doesnt go crazy he might have a decent handicap in the meantime.

Talk about putting the handbrake on Turban until the last day. Loads of average €10k races and he runs in and out. €60k race and he blitzes the field. 11lb shouldn't stop him especially with the 2 others with chances have big absences to overcome. Interesting race. Certainly will be if Bog Warrior runs well.

That'll do :)

Highland Lodge next up .... 9-4 now, but got 9-2 this morning. Hope that's a good sign <ok>

Leavethelighton finally gets it done, and at a decent price too considering he only really had one to beat.
