I don't get why a fan winning a prize and getting a pretend contract and a bit of a day out makes any club a laughing stock. I think you're letting your opinion on Portsmouth cloud your judgement. I reckon had it been any other club in the country (except possibly West Ham), you wouldn't have said it made them appear a laughing stock.
