Afternoon Canaries, Congrats on the promotion back to the big time - good to have you back So what are your realistic opinions on the season ahead? Obviously any promoted team would take 4th bottom at the start of the season - stay up and steady the ship, build on the experience and develop from there. The standard of the league in general was less than recent years, but that does make it more of an even playing field in some respects. The one thing you cannot do is let complacency in - just look at Blackpool - given no chance at the start and had a fantastic first half of the season, only to lose momentum and the slide downwards piled far too much on them. Of course you already know that, but where do you see yourselves realistically finishing? Any particular games you are looking forward to (old scores to settle, etc)?
Thanks for the congrats and welcome So what are your realistic opinions on the season ahead? - how long is a piece of string? On the surface a flippant answer but the reality is anything could happen. Paul Lambert over the last 2 season has assembled squads that have defied the odds. Can he do the same again for a 3rd consecutive year? We certainly hope so but until we get back in to action it's impossible to say. Most of us will be happy with survival come next May and take each subsequent season in the PL as it comes Games I will look forward to are Man Utd & Liverpool at home, our record in these games is not too bad. Wolves will be another - we simply do not like them very much
Apart from say, the top seven or eight (who, to be fair, are in their own mini-league anyway) all other games are winnable. I see no reason why we couldn't nick three points off, say, Everton, Bolton or Villa. To do so consistently over the season will, of course, be the real test. Blackpool, Hull and Reading in previous seasons all got some eye opening results, but were sadly unable to sustain it for the full season. Two things we do know, however. 1) Lambert will give it everything he has to ensure survival, and 2) my oath, how we're all looking forward to it Thanks for your kind words.
Norwich will be the first team to be relegated back to the Championship without their points total reaching double figures.
Is ths the same as all your other predictions Mike? If that's the case, they might as well just give the premier trophy now
I hate to say this but of the promoted teams i reckon you'll come out on top ... now i'm gona wash my mouth out ..what we all want is our derby in the prem .. Stay up and we'll see ya next year ... COYB
I hope this is true just to beat you 5-1 again No, seriously, our season isn't as much fun without a derby. And we only really have 1, unless you include Colchester, whereas most clubs have a couple that come around most seasons.
