Big Sam gets West Ham out of trouble. 4 consecutive clean sheets. While Tony Pullis has been doing the same with Palace who at one point where doomed.
I rate both as managers even if their approach and tactics aren't often admired. They did fantastically well at Bolton and Stoke respectively. How many seasons were Bolton top six? Unthinkable now.
Not what I wanted to write either Dave, but you've hardly been convincing in recent weeks, have you? Your current form is slightly worse than that of Sunderland and Crystal Palace, unfortunately.
Fat Sam at Bolton. Definitely have to admire his time there, especially as he used to terrorise the goons with the long ball! Same with Pullis who has transformed Palace. But as for your game, form book says you stand little chance but Rooney, Mata and Rvp love facing the goons so I wouldn't write you off.
I think United have a decent chance, being on the back foot a bit with RVP, Rooney and Mata breaking should suit them better. Not sure who I want to win though, if we lose against Newcastle then an Arsenal win suits us and if we win then we benefit quite a lot whatever the result in Arsenal's game.
I want us to win and Gunners to lose. It's very simple. In three games' time, we could be above Arsenal. If that happens, I will need urgent cock surgery. Plus, I will willingly get down on my knees and offer up an act of worship to Sherwoodie.
Dave, I can see you getting a result. Arsenal tend to have mares against you, and you are due to give someone a spanking. Moyes, having seen how 'Pool spanked Whinger's boys, will be hopeful of replicating the feat. I'm going 3-1 to United.
Could also be a good time to play the Goons if approached right, pressure is on for a reaction to the drubbing, so who starts the game best will be very important, if United can get off to a flyer with an early goal and shut the crowd up, get some arguing and moaning going amongst them then who knows. My reservation is that I think United have lost their defending from the front, RVP and Mata don't press with intensity, so the goons will more likely get time to build from the back and settle into the game.
West Ham's McCartney has been pulling in some serious points for me since his return to favour/ Rat's departure.
Utd can give Arsenal a game, but our inability to defend points to a win for them - 2-1 I reckon sadly. Liverpool proved that for all the hype about their defence, Mertesacker still turns more slowly than the Queen Mary and the rest are better going forward. If it's an open game, it could be a farce.
That's exactly how I see it, too, notso. Sustained pressure from United backed up with a goal before half-time and another at the start of the second half, will lead to an Arsenal collapse, I think. I'm betting that there are going to be a fair few more black-eyes coming off the Gunners' training ground, over the next few days.
Does anyone actually want this title? Top three teams all faltering in last 4 days, begs the question: Can the Mousers actually do this?!
Last ten games Arsenal 6 wins 2 draws 2 lost United 6 wins 1 draw 3 lost Not too much difference there
"Top three teams all faltering in last 4 days, begs the question: Can the Mousers actually do this?!" No, because of the team a mere 3 pts behind them.
