What makes it even more ridiculous is that jdg is the biggest wimp on the pitch (in that he doesn't ever put a foot in, otherwise we all know it's Chico). If that was an attempt of a wind up then Bellamy was wasting his time as jdg was never going to lose his cool. If he targeted someone like canas then he would have had a better chance of getting him sent off.
It was cowardly. He ran up behind him and smacked him in the head. Chico would have been on his deathbed if it was him but it wouldn't have changed the fact what Bellamy did was wrong.
The thing that's nails him is the way he changed direction and targeted d.guz....That would mean he intended to do something and that is what will get him a ban. I have always liked bells but he can loose his cool sometimes...
Surely no discussion on this one? It's clear cut 3 game ban. Shame he was one of your best players in the game, I like Bellamy but he does lose it on times, lets hope his next outing will be for Wales against England!...................
This is the difference between what is a red card on the pitch and trial by Tv afterwards. Carrol would not have been sent off IMO if Webb had actually seen what happened rather than thought he saw it. Once TV is involved then intent means it becomes a red card offence. The Rangel kick has already been mentioned and Kompany is getting away free with a deliberate off the ball kick. Is it only a red because the contact is to the head? As I said at the beginning it was stupid and he can have no complaints. I'm not sure it'll be that bigger miss if Ole gets the selection right. He runs a lot but doesn't produce much (bearing in mind his goal at Norwich should never have went in). Maybe he was our best player v the Jacks but 2nd half that really wasn't difficult. I wonder if Berget is anywhere near first team selection? He's supposed to be an attacking mid number 10 type. I mentioned it on Sunday but Zaha's outstanding playoff performances last season were from the 10 position not the wing.
I think the sad thing is they see nothing in YaYa Toures kick at the Norwich striker, yet do Bellamy, Is there any real difference. Smacks of the big clubs getting away with things again.
You could argue that if they look at the Bellamy incident you should also look at the Angel (I think it was) kick on Zaha. With that one, Zaha did react and there was a bit of pushing and shoving. Off the ball and very deliberate. Where do you stop?
That is the problem when they start re-refereeing the game via video. I don't understand how they choose which incidents are worthy of consideration. Is it Sky's job to choose.....?
TLF We can certainly agree on that. Even Spurs in 5th place get crap decisions against them - look at the Rose penalty and red card v. Man City. Red card turned over on appeal so perhaps they have a little influence.
Blue if you needed anymore proof look at this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8V845zmQbQ No action taken.
wouldn't disagree with you. There will be a precident set though and clubs will start a tit for tat finger pointing. It's the thin end of the wedge.
Why anyone should be punished for hitting a peggy is beyond all laws of human nature, the weak always get a clip from the strong ....
