If he was a good manager that gave the board confidence in his ability then he would still be the manager.....Monk did in two days what ML could not do since day one and that is motivate and install confidence in the team .....plus use some technical ability to out play the opposition, Ml had one way and one way only and if you questioned him he would drop you to the bench....He was a one trick pony and not even good one at that...

It's good that Monk didn't let his own ego and personal pride get in the way otherwise Chico wouldn't had been in the squad.

Kenny Jackett used to drop our best player. :cheesy:

Actually we didn't have a full team.

We did have a full team against Cardiff last November though ;)

Yeah, and Williams had to issue a grovelling public apology on behalf of himself and the team - not quite a full team either as Michu had been carrying the injury that put him out for ages.

Poor management skills then to play an unfit player <ok>

I have no doubt that even our Rookie manager Monk will produce far better results than Laudrup, he just had to go.

Monk or just about anyone else can coast the rest of the season with Laudrups well assembled team , even phil probably could if he didn't get himself thrown out of the dressing room .

It's no good having the tools if you don't know how to use them, all this Laudrup whining is so sad!...................<laugh>

Actually Real Madrid are looking to sign Laudrup , wonder who will come running for Monk when Jenkins pull the rug out from beneath him when Monks (strings attached ) managerial career is over at seasons end .

It was the Real Madrid fans calling for Laudrup not the club. Why would real Madrid sign up a manager who can only last one good season before be gets bored and disinterested?

Exactly what Monk was guilty of with Emnes. He started him knowing that he was carrying a minor injury and not match fit - Monk's words, I believe. And contrary to popular belief, Pablo was NOT an inspired substitution, it was a forced one. Personally, I would have started Pablo and we might well have established superiority sooner than we did.

Emnes is NOT a Ki player, but it was a Ki game. Great decision Michael Laudrup, I mean Garry? Coleman.

"Day one"? Really? You actually believe that? Wasn't Laudrup's day one a 5-0 away win at QPR, a team who always gave Brendan a right going over?

Selective memories on here.

We will see come summer pagan , could very well end up at Tottenham. Monk will be an assistant at Swansea only come summer , unless a big club comes in for him that is .

Actually I'm waiting for more from them , they clearly have someone close to the situation reporting in . I can't wait to find out if Laudrup and Monk after him did try to get Allen back . But you carry on with your head in the ground hoping nothing is true kieran

Mate I'm fine, honestly. But if SportsDirect post an article questioning Monk's future I will brick it.
