Great. Are you behind Garry Monk and HIS team or like Seabreeze_11 just going to criticise from over in America? (No offence)
I think that Ash's gesture was a parting gift, a farewell to Laudrup for all his efforts, but clearly the mood of the team, the tactics and setup on Saturday, suited our players far better and that is a credit to Garry Monk, who while never reached the heady heights of Laudrup as a player, will probably prove to be a far superior manager, I've always considered Monk to be an intelligent lad and lets get behind him and our Board. You can say all you like about our boards short comings, but at least they have the best interest of our club at heart, so time to move on!............
Agree with all your points. And Garry Monk certainly knows his football. We can all be rest assured that IF HJ + the fans in boardroom don't consider him to be up to the job then he will be moved on. But right now I can't see a problem.
I don't critize Monk , now the board is a different thing , Monk has my support and I hope he survives the wrath of huw by seasons end but I have my doubts , Huw will throw him under the bus too
Kieran some cannot get past Laudrup the player? We never had Laudrup the player, we had Laudrup the Manager, totally different animal, but it will pass once Garry puts a few more wins under our belt, I'm grateful that Huw Jenkins and our board acted in the best interests of Swansea City!..............
Do you think basically casting off the man who among many others was responsible for turning SCFC into a 50K business to a '100 million' one as an idiot is the right thing to do? He makes mistakes but he certainly is not an idiot. He loves the club, like Garry Monk.
It was all him was it? Haven't you heard of the board of directors? Because if they disagreed with Huw Jenkins this decision would not have been made.
You haven't a clue Breezy, not a damn clue! Huw Jenkins is a Swansea Jack first and Chairman second, what he does is only by approval of all on the Swansea city board, and it is our board that have got us here for our third season in the Premiership, and not Laudrup, he is now history get over it..............
Maybe the 10 board members were all acting out of self interest. I know JVZ likes getting his name in the media.
Maybe Brian does. Are you talking about that guy who confirmed he was leaving SCFC at the end of the season?
SB .... you're trying to fart against thunder here. There's not much point. One game is not going to define what is, was, will be in "best interests of the club". We won't know that for a while yet. Patterns of behavior in the "best interest of the club" are starting to appear and they are not very pretty. As you say, Monk's time will come, sooner or later. Acting in the "best interests of the club" and acting in the right way are not synonymous.
No point crying over spilt milk Yankee, Laudrup has gone, finished, end of, one thing I'm sure of, is we have a far better chance now he's no longer here, his football was reminisant of Sousa!......................
All that Laudrup did for us and these ungrateful piles of crap ****ting all over him, it gives crap a bad name .
Change Laudrup to the board all these ungrateful piles of crap to Seabreeze_11 and you'd be spot on. Michael Laudrup is loyal to his wife, his daughter (More than SCFC), his career (Like Brendan Rodgers) and his bank account it appears. He might even love the club he grew up supporting but he's as loyal to SCFC as he is to Getafe.
Hardly anyone is '****ting all over Laudrup' ... Most of the fans were thankful for his work and HJ (As he always does) has denied almost all of the negative speculation that came out in the London press regarding ML. Even the players are talking him up, not as much as for Garry Monk mind.
