    Interesting article:

A thought it was nice, it reminds us that even though ML is no longer here, even the players have taken part of the responsibility for his sacking. Maybe he didn't lose the dressing room like some suggest, just his training methods were not what the players needed to get upto 100% focused, which I can accept.

Nice gesture. I've always maintained that the players should take their share of the responsibility and Williams' statement is welcome. I also feel it's a shame that Laudrup couldn't have stayed on, with Monk as his 2IC taking care of fitness issues etc etc. We would have benefited from ML's contacts and world profile in terms of future signings and our own profile, whilst Monk would have found it a valuable learning curve in his managerial career, which got off to an excellent start against Cardiff. Well done for that!

As it stands, we could possibly have lost up to £14.5 million - the £4.5 million compensation plus the prospect of £10 million we might have received when ML moved on of his own volition. Not to mention the spectre of an ugly court case looming in the future.

A respectful and measured statement from the Captain, as a few have alluded to on here ,once the players take to the pitch then they're responsible for what happens on it ,We'll never know if we'd have had the same response from the players as was witnessed Saturday but it's unlikely that under the same circumstances had scored we wouldn't have seen that reaction from Williams towards Mr Laudrup as he did to Monk. That statement may take the sting out of what may happen between the Club and the ex manager in the future, (wishful thinking I suppose ).When it comes to money then it'll become a battle we could well do without .

Ash's statements puts things into perspective. Not so much any issue between Manager and Players as between Manager and Executives.

As I have posted elsewhere, we have now gone through two quality coaches in Sousa and Laudrup from overseas, both contributing significantly and both terms ending in a classless manner on the part of the club. Perhaps the domestic managers left earlier in their cycle in part because they could see the writing on the wall clearer than the foreigners; they could see where things were heading between them and the Board and decided to take matters into their own hands. The domestic managers left and took valuable resources with them. The foreigners just left. This is the pattern. The one party common to all events still remains - the Board. What are we to make of them; what are we to do with them.

It was his responsibility to pick the team and get them fired up. P.s - Please don't sue us. :emoticon-0152

If we have acted contrary to the terms of the contract you can bet that this will happen.

I respect what he did for us overall but all love will be gone if he sues us.

He'll get a decent job he can even put on his C.V that he won the League Cup himself.

Did Michael Laudrup know Cardiff were crap?

Garry Monk did and I bet he thinks Seabreeze_11 is clueless too. :cheesy:

Laudrup's contract was terminated by the club. There are going to be conditions in the contract that permit that to happen and the financial adjustments that need to be made. If Laudrup sue's it will not be out of malice but to collect what he is owed under the term's of the contract. This is not specific to Laudrup, it is just common sense and common practice. If the club acts appropriately under the terms of the contract then there shall be no suit. If the club acts inappropriately it will owe the Laudrup some form of compensation plus costs. This is not personal, it is business. The club has also made statements to the media. These statements need to have some basis in truth and good faith otherwise they may be grounds for a suit to collect damages - this would be a nasty state of affairs for both sides.

There are others on this forum that can address this better than I can.

He could at least agree to some 50% payoff with Jenkins. It's never good if something goes through the courts and I doubt Michael Laudrup (I could be wrong) cares much about what Swansea City fans really think.

Huw knew the score yeah but he certainly didn't pick the team or take training. <ok>

Just stick to posting negative rumours based on Sports Direct articles the real fans are behind Garry Monk confirmed by the weekend. <ok>

Your doubt about how Laudrup feels about what swansea fans feel about him means something between little and nothing

The team and the captain know who is responsible for where Swansea are in 3 competition , not so much people with short memories

People with short memories think the man who among others is responsible for taking SCFC from being a 50K business into a '100 million' 1 is an idiot.

I can bet you would had been the first on here 'crediting' the defeat to Laudrup too. :cheesy:

Everything , good or bad , that happens with the team is 90% Laudrup and 10 % Monk , it's not rocket surgery but I guess for some -----

Nonsense. Laudrup didn't even sign most of the current players.

If we don't beat Stoke I'm blaming Roberto Martinez. :cheesy:
