I really was surprised at how well he played , MBorough fans have slated him and no he didn't score but he did add that bit of guile and pace through the middle .It remains to be seen how well hell play but the signs were promising ,just need to keep him fit <whistle>

When Michu gets back, I think we will see De Guzman ride the bench for most of the the rest of the season .Dyer and Routledge will be favored on the outside with Britton and Michu favored on the inside with Shelvey , Canas and Pablo doing spot duty .

Bench: Tremmel, Amat, Taylor, Canas, De Guzman, Hernandez and Emnes/Ngog/Vazquez/Pozuelo

The only position we don't have adequate cover for (without disrupting the team by moving Michu up front) is striker...shame we couldn't have landed a Lukaku or a Guidetti etc.

Very strong. Shame Laudrup didn't have this line up available to him for most of this season.

Shame he only started Leon in 4 of his last 13 games. Might still be in a job.

Very strong. Shame Laudrup didn't have this line up available to him for most of this season.

That's the problem he has had all players available at certain times. It has never been the players it has always been the negative football that he has played...This has been our one and only problem, He changed a winning formula into his style of football that may have worked in lesser leagues but not the premiership. His way would produce the odd good game but it was not consistent enough to be a force in the premiership but he would not admit he was wrong and would rather drop players than change back...

    True. 4 games, I believe.

Could still have played him more though.

Read somewhere he bore a grudge against Leon after he'd complained about training. Would explain it.

Leon only started 5 out of last 31 League games according to an article in another thread.

Laudrup assembled and trained a very good team when healthy and the infirmary is near empty now . This team could run itself now really , with Monk , Laudrup or just about anyone at the helm .But Laudrup built it and it's his till seasons end . What bothers me the most is Martinez and Rogers ditched us to get themself ahead , Laudrup put a ball and chain on to keep this team together for Swansea City Football Club and wasn't allowed to finish the season when things were ready to turn .

Same players different game plan and that is the difference between laudrup and monk.....Laudrup the manager could not out fox managers and played poor football and then you have our ex captain who in a couple of days changed back to Rodgers way and Hey presto the players are united again and playing with pride....there is no competition on who's system works and who's doesn't...<ok>

Don't know about that rumour. If he did bare a grudge it was a mistake, first name on my team sheet...

Of course it's not just 4 games out though is it?
E.g. Leon returns from injury and gets a lot of minutes because we are so threadbare.
Starts at Fulham, a few days later we've got West Ham, so he rests him...made extra sense as they are great in the air and we are poor (and Leon's tiny)...he was hoping we'd defend the aerial ball better with Amat in and nick an away point. With the bonus of having Leon fresher for the derby.

Makes sense too me. I didn't think Leon had been dropped. Just horses for courses.
We don't defend well, we don't keep the ball as well as we should and people use Leon to beat Laudrup over the head.

Laudrup was playing the " manchester Uniteds' " ravaged by injuries , Monk will be starting out with Laudrups healthy team while playing the " Cardiffs' " of the league . The only system thats not working dai is ---------

    True - apart from the 5 he didn't !!!

Looks like that article was wrong. He's started 10 League games this season under Laudrup.
