What if an equal quality, less famous player is available for less? Its not about the price or collecting famous name.
well that is right but... players in demand... in theory... are in demand cos they are good. I would prefer us to at least not be linked guys we know are not great or end up loaning guys in if we reach CL. I just think we all kind of knew cissohko and moses were what they were. who knows is salah is actually good enough to make any impact at al a chavland and konoplyanka is a god knows
The intention was to always sign Kono in the summer. We only made a bid for him in January was because Salah fell through. I hope we buy him and I'm almost certain that £8m will be a massive bargain. Would be interesting to see how we fit him in though .. 2 central midfielders, 2 full backs
so where the f were we going to fit salah and konoplyanka in a team then? one was always going to be a bench warmer then. shrugs... i dunno just asking.
Rodgers likes his players to be able to play more than one position and has gone on record as saying that is part of his recruit criteria. We haven't signed anyone that can only play one position bar Migs. This means we are very unlikely to buy a dedicated DM, it would have to be someone that can play there but also play football. I'd take Mata for about £20m I would say De Gea but I'm happy with Migs. No, he's not as good IMO but he's good enough.
i had heard a ****e rumour of sterling going on loan, yes i know! don't shoot the messenger, just saying that was the reasoning from what i heard, think it was too late even for that to happen though if it had of done, so **** knows. don't know why ibe hasn't gone on loan though.
[QUOTE Bender's good, but we wouldn't be able to chant his name from the stands. [/QUOTE] I still rather be singing that than Bendtner... GKRK
i wasn't referring to the big time charlies at Old Toilet, more the long list of targets that they have who won't go there if there's no CL football......
I think Dan Burn the Fulham CB might be one to watch. He is only 21 and has only made 4 prem appearances, but did say after the game at Old Trafford that he has never headed the ball so much since he played in the conference. He described Utd's attack as belonging in the 5th tier of English football. He is also 6ft 7" which is a handy size for a CB.
only if you play conference standard teams like utd. put a suarez around him and he could get 10 put past him
Seems to be a lot of talk about Cashley atm, they can't be serious can they? dont think I could stomach him tbh. http://metro.co.uk/2014/02/09/liverpool-close-in-on-chelsea-outcast-ashley-cole-4296391/
