So you'll take some of his claims but not others? He's also said he has proof of funds.

Let's just take a moment to consider that you're backing an owner that you're worried might not pass the Football League's arguably rather relaxed fit and proper persons test...

What does that tell you?

We're going to be owned by an absolute bellend who'll just destroy this club even more. The reason we're in this mess is not because it needs billions to fix the financial mess, but probably because GFH are that incompetent that they've no idea how to fix it. They're incompetent enough to have allowed the farce of the last week happen, what else are they incompetent enough to do? Keep in mind that these are the people chosen by KEN BATES of all people as the "most suitable" people to take the club forward. And oh look, they are picking the next incapable moron to "take us forward". The only difference now is this incapable moron has a big fat bank account. Having it and using it effectively are two different things. If you want to spend the next forever being lied to then go ahead and back this absolute disgrace of a human being.

Disgrace of a human being? As I understand it he has a Spent conviction for fraud, and that fraud was committed in supporting his club and the charges may have been politically motivated. He ain't jimmy Savile.

We have had far bigger crooks in charge of LUFC in the last forty years, and not just bates either.

But what about last weekend?

Badly handled and not appropriate to treat someone the way Brian was. But there is a footballing argument for at least considering his position. Not sure that merits your level of animosity?

I meant the fact he claimed it was entirely his decision (which we know it was) and then backtracked and changed his mind to save face.

Footballing reasons had nothing to do with the decision. Point being is I don't want more of last weekend at my football club.

One point about Cellino and his style and how he likes to scout around and sign players he feels would be beneficial and how he likes to sack managers -

Firstly I am not saying I agree with doing it this way, I personally feel the manager selecting players he wants should be priority however - When a new manager comes in he has to make do with what he is given, most of our previous managers have been given very little. McDermott is basically working with Warnocks squad with an unimpressive Murphy in and out of the team and two loan wingers. It isn't the end of the world if Cellino signs us some players who are half decent is it?

Some are harping on about how much profit Cellino makes from player sales, if he has purchased these players in the first place and sold for a healthy profit you have to assume he is pretty good at spotting a decent player no?

Well said

Marko,

I really do sympathise with you. In fact, I'm sure be all do. However, facts are facts, and we have to face them. I summarised our situation in another thread thus:

Sorry guys, the speculation from all sides has been stimulating, but it's now time to be realistic.

1. GFH cannot take us forward. Administration looms if this happens.

2. We are so desperate that we require a takeover - immediately if not sooner!

3. We are in such a desperate situation that we cannot be choosy about who takes us over.

Sad, but true.

This still stands as far as I'm concerned. We can go with the flow, or be choosy & bust. There are no grey areas now. It's out of our hands. Go have a few cool ones and try to come to terms with the most awful situation we're in.

It isn't though, you've just written off entirely the other option on the table...

It appears there are a number of different opinions, some emotional and others emotional. Fact is, if FA/FL ratify the FPP, Cellino is in.

All that matters now is that he has LUFC at heart - we can all argue about whether it works out for us in our own opinions of whether he is going about it in the way we want.

I say we have no option but give him the chance to prove himself. Will he stop Haigh from posting on social media? Will he force GC and LUST to act like an independent supporter organisation? Will he demand (in future) better legal counsel than Bates had?

Is there really another option on the table? If so, GFH ain't looking. They need the money now! The other bidders have been squealing in the press that GFH aren't listening. GFH have also made an announcement about their TO agreement with Cellino. So, the die is cast, unless the FA stymie this particular option. If they do, I fear that administration will be immediate, and going by the penalty we'll get hit with, I'm fairly sure we'll get relegated. The FA have never particularly liked us, have they?

Rather melodramatic. The only penalty available is 10 points. We'd still be 6 points above Millwall, and they'll be lucky to reach 45 this season

Manic-depressive twittering troll

He gave his opinion. Right or wrong he is entitled to hold it and to express it. There is only one person who should stfu and it ain't WJ, Eire or me.
