I've not voted because it would be dependant on certain things but: Barton (like most people have said if he stays), and probably Collo if he left (just because the battle between Saylor and Williamson will probably pick up again next season i'd think so would he be guarenteed a starting place??)

It's a tough one, a captain should, for me, start every game, lead by example and show dedication to the cause...

S Taylor getting it would mean him and Colo are pretty much guaranteed starting berths next season.

Colo getting it would, for me personally, require him signing a longer contract on reduced wages (i read somewhere he is our highest paid player).

Steve Harper is sure of getting first team football and Barton isn't even sure of being at the club...So on that basis - S Taylor has to get it...

Didn't Stuart Pearce captain us a couple of times?

Lots voting for Barton, are you all mad? Did yesterday's outburst not tell you Barton's a liability when it comes to the media, Fat Mike certainly won't let him captain the club after Barton's slagged off the board & him. Personally I don't think he'll be at the club much longer, let alone captain.

I'd go for Saylor but would like to see how influential Cabaye is in the dressing room too.

Would be a waste of time giving it to Barton if he's only going to be here for one season, plus i felt his worst performances this season was while he was captain. I'd give it to Cabaye as he's young, been captain before and hopefully will be here for a while

Agree with this, although I wouldn't want to give it to a newbie straight away. Cabaye could be a future captain, but at the moment it should be an English speaker with some Prem experience.
